On July 19, news from the Market Management Department of Hau Giang province said that the unit had just coordinated with the Economic and Environmental Police Department of the provincial police and the Vietnam Education Publishing House in Can Tho city to inspect and discover a large number of textbooks with counterfeit trademarks.
Accordingly, the violation occurred at the textbook trading and storage location on Road No. 1, Tay Do EcoPark residential area (Tan Phu Thanh commune, Chau Thanh A district, Hau Giang).
The interdisciplinary working group of Hau Giang province inspected, counted, and classified fake textbooks at business locations.

At the time of inspection, the working group discovered that the business store was storing textbooks with fake product labels and packaging, without invoices or documents. Specifically, the front cover of the textbooks showed information from Vietnam Education Publishing House, and the back cover of the book had no anti-counterfeit stamp. The total quantity of goods discovered and initially detained was 1,210 boxes.
Through counting and classifying the quantity and types of textbooks, it was determined that the total number of books with counterfeit labels of Vietnam Education Publishing House was 79,103 books of all types from grade 1 to grade 12. The total value of goods calculated according to the prices listed on the textbooks was more than 1.3 billion VND.
According to the Hau Giang Province Market Management Department, this is the largest violation involving fake textbooks ever in Hau Giang. The province's interdisciplinary inspection team is continuing to verify and handle it according to the law.
