Thieu Hoa Commune is located in the economic center of the old Thieu Hoa district, the northwest gateway of the provincial urban center. According to statistics, the whole commune has 195 hectares of agricultural land accumulated and concentrated for large-scale production, applying high technology, including nearly 11 hectares of melon and vegetable production area in greenhouses. In the area, there are 2 production and processing enterprises associated with agricultural product consumption with large-scale investment and modern advanced technology, including: Tam Phu Hung Agricultural Products Processing Factory; Thuan Dung Rice Processing Factory.

Not only developing stably and sustainably in the agricultural sector, industrial production and construction continue to grow strongly, contributing significantly to the transformation of economic and labor structure. The whole commune currently has 2,400 industrial and handicraft production establishments. Notably, in the period of 2020-2025, the industrial sector has many highlights when Van Ha 1 Industrial Cluster (17.5 hectares) was invested with a total capital of 104 billion VND; Van Ha 2 Industrial Cluster (23.5 hectares) with a total investment capital of 189 billion VND; Long Thanh Hung production facility project (5 hectares) with an investment capital of 20 billion VND; The ALIVIA export footwear production project of Hoa Loi Group (Taiwan) has a total investment capital of 1,000 billion VND... The Provincial People's Committee signed a memorandum of understanding with WHA Group (Thailand) to invest in and operate infrastructure of Long Giang Duy Industrial Park and Long Cong Thanh Industrial Park with a total area of ​​about 700 hectares in Thieu Hoa commune.

From the potentials, advantages, results of the previous period and the general development trend of the province, Thieu Hoa commune has many opportunities for breakthrough and comprehensive development in all fields, especially in industry, agriculture and services.

According to Chairman of Thieu Hoa Commune People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, building and developing the locality with a new space is a challenging task, requiring determination, drasticness, unity and consensus of the entire political system. Right in the first days of operating under the 2-level local government model, the commune urgently stabilized the apparatus, at the same time reviewed, researched, clearly identified the potential, strengths and challenges, thereby clearly defining the development orientation, agreeing on 3 key tasks to create breakthroughs in the next 5 years. That is to do well the work of urban planning and development, building Thieu Hoa commune into a ward administrative unit before 2030. Focus on removing difficulties, creating maximum conditions for investment, industrial production to develop rapidly; at the same time, promoting digital transformation, soon forming the model of "Digital government - digital economy - digital society and digital citizens".

To achieve the above goal, the locality continues to review and adjust the land use planning until 2030, organize the preparation of the general urban planning of Thieu Hoa until 2050 to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval, including supplementing the planning of industrial zones and clusters, detailed planning of central traffic routes, and planning orientation of modern urban and commercial areas. Maximize resources to invest in infrastructure in a synchronous and modern direction, further accelerating the urbanization speed.
