Promoting the spirit of solidarity and joining hands to build Phong Dien commune to become more and more developed

During the 2024-2029 term, Phong Dien Commune Front coordinated with member organizations to promote propaganda and mobilize people of all walks of life to actively participate in building new rural areas and ensuring social security. Thereby, contributing to the Party committees and authorities at all levels to build the locality to develop more and more, and the material and spiritual life of the people to be gradually improved.

Individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Front for the 2024-2029 term were commended and rewarded at the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Phong Dien commune for the 2025-2030 term.

Phong Dien commune was established on the basis of merging Phong Dien town, Tan Thoi commune and Giai Xuan commune. In the 2024-2029 term, before the merger, the local Fronts united, gathered and mobilized people of all walks of life to actively participate in emulation movements and campaigns. The local Fronts and member organizations coordinated to register to implement 112 skillful mass mobilization models and models to implement the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; mobilized people to contribute more than 1.7 billion VND, more than 2,960 working days to upgrade bridges, roads, install lighting, plant trees, etc.

The traffic bridge on Tra Nien Be canal in Nhon Loc 2 hamlet was solidly concreted thanks to the contribution of 35 million VND and more than 60 working days of the people. Ms. Nguyen Thi Chien, a resident of Nhon Loc 2 hamlet, shared: "The old bridge was sunken, making traffic very difficult. The hamlet officials mobilized and the people agreed to contribute to widening the bridge from 2m to 3m, with railings, making traffic convenient and safe."

Similarly, a 270m long, 2-2.5m wide road in Vam Ong Nghia, Truong Trung A hamlet, was upgraded and expanded thanks to people donating land, crops and materials worth about 400 million VND, and the State supported cement worth 27 million VND. Mr. To Hong To, a resident of Truong Trung A hamlet, said: “Previously, the road was small and narrow, and every time it rained heavily, it was muddy and difficult to travel. When the State supported cement, people agreed to contribute money to buy materials and participate in labor to widen the road. On the day of road construction, many people came to carry sand and rocks, help cook rice and water... the atmosphere was very exciting. Now, the upgraded road is high, clean and beautiful, trade is convenient, the spirit of solidarity among the people is increasingly tight, everyone is excited”.

Activities to care for people's lives were effectively coordinated by the Commune Front and its member organizations. Of which, 78 houses were built and repaired; more than 15,000 gifts worth more than 7.6 billion VND were mobilized; free medical examinations and medicine were coordinated; poor and disadvantaged students were supported to continue going to school... Mr. Pham Thanh Nhon in Tan Long hamlet said: "My husband and I work for a living. The house is old and dilapidated, and we have no money to rebuild it. Thanks to the support of officials at all levels, my family has a house with solid walls."

Along with taking care of people's lives, during the past term, Phong Dien Commune Front coordinated to organize meetings with voters between elected representatives and people; synthesized and recorded 185 opinions and recommendations of voters, and transferred them to competent authorities for settlement according to their authority. In addition, the Commune Front also received citizens, participated in resolving complaints and denunciations, and supervised the settlement of citizens' recommendations and reflections in accordance with regulations. Thereby, many issues closely related to people's lives and legitimate rights were promptly resolved.

The 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Phong Dien commune, term 2025-2030, agreed to continue promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc; focus on substantially innovating the content and methods of operation of the Front in accordance with the 2-level local government model; improve the effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, contributing to building Phong Dien commune in an ecological, civilized and modern direction...

According to Ms. Bui Thi Uyen, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phong Dien commune, to achieve the set goals, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and its member organizations focus on implementing a number of solutions: gathering, uniting, and mobilizing all classes of people to compete in studying and working creatively to promote all potentials and resources, creating new momentum for the locality to develop rapidly and sustainably; continuing to innovate and improve the quality of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, mobilizing people to actively participate in socio -economic development; promoting democracy at the grassroots level; performing well the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism; actively promoting the role and responsibility of the people in participating in Party building, building a clean and strong government... Thereby, continuing to promote the strength of the entire people, building a civilized residential area, and Phong Dien homeland is increasingly developing.
