The VLSI – Physical Design microchip design course is being implemented by the Danang Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence Research and Training Center (DSAC) in collaboration with TreSemi Organization, Synopsys Company, GASA Company and Sovico Group from April 2025. The course lasts for 3 months with a total duration of 166 hours, including 60 hours of theory and 106 hours of practice, taught entirely in English.
Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Quang Buu awarded 5 outstanding students of the VLSI - Physical Design microchip design class.
The main lecturer is Mr. Phil Hoang - Senior Technical Manager at Skyworks Solutions, Inc; also Founder & Chairman of TreSemi Organization. To date, 31 students have completed the VLSI training program and received certificates, including 5 outstanding students who were awarded by Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee Ho Quang Buu at the graduation ceremony on the afternoon of August 8.
According to Mr. Phil Hoang, the students completed the course with a serious learning attitude, grasped the professional content and were able to apply it in practice. This is a positive signal showing the development potential of semiconductor human resources in Da Nang. Student Le Trong Quyen shared that, along with imparting in-depth knowledge, the class also opened up opportunities for students to confidently connect with international experts and businesses.
Right after the VLSI – Physical Design class, DSAC Center opened a specialized English class on professional communication and personal branding for students in the semiconductor field. The program is taught by expert Mark Filshie, who has 18 years of experience in recruiting senior personnel in the technology industry in the Asia region.

“Vietnamese semiconductor engineers not only need good expertise but also need communication skills and professional self-expression. This program helps them gain more confidence to enter the global playing field,” Mr. Mark Filshie emphasized.
According to Director of DSAC Center Le Hoang Phuc, these are two activities in a series of intensive training programs to develop a team of high-quality engineers for the semiconductor industry in Da Nang. DSAC Center will continue to coordinate with domestic and foreign strategic partners to organize practical, quality courses, contributing to the development of human resources for the semiconductor and high-tech industry in Vietnam.
