Reviewing many key reports and draft laws
At the meeting, the Economic and Financial Committee reviewed: reports on the results of implementing the socio-economic development plan, state budget, public investment in 2025 and orientations for 2026; reports on the results of implementing the national 5-year financial plan, borrowing and repaying public debt for the 2021-2025 period; and projected financial and public investment plans for the 2026-2030 period.
The meeting also considered the Government 's Proposal on adjusting the National Master Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh emphasized: The 10th session is the last session of the 15th National Assembly term, with an exceptionally large workload, the largest ever.
Following the direction of the National Assembly Chairman, the 15th National Assembly needs to focus on fundamentally handling difficulties and not leaving unfinished work for the next term; therefore, the Economic and Financial Committee must preside over the examination of many key and core contents.

In addition to assessing the results of socio-economic development, finance - budget and public investment in 2025, and orienting tasks and solutions for 2026, the National Assembly will also review and evaluate Resolution 16 on the socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2025 period and Resolution 31 on economic restructuring for the 2021-2025 period.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that the tasks of legislation and law-making are numerous and highly complex. According to the direction of competent authorities, laws and resolutions must be considered and passed to remove difficulties and bottlenecks, and to free up resources for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development in the coming years.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly acknowledged that, over the past several terms, the work of reviewing and reporting opinions of the Economic Committee and the former Finance and Budget Committee, now the Economic and Finance Committee, has always been a focus and has created high prestige. The review reports were carefully prepared, through many rounds of consultation, objectively reflecting reality, making an important contribution to perfecting the law and guiding policies.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly believes that with a contingent of full-time and part-time delegates with expertise and practical experience, and a team of dedicated and dedicated staff, the Economic and Financial Committee will continue to promote its core role in analyzing, criticizing, and recommending policy solutions, especially in the context of complex and unpredictable socio-economic changes.
