Acknowledge efforts, frankly acknowledge limitations
In the 2024-2025 school year, Dak Lak province will have more than 1,379 educational institutions, managing over 706,000 children, pupils, students and university students.
Despite many difficulties, the education sector still achieved important results: Teaching and learning quality was improved; key education maintained its leading position in the Central Coastal and Central Highlands regions; many students achieved high scores in national and international competitions for excellent students. The work of universalizing and eliminating illiteracy was completed according to criteria, contributing to improving people's knowledge and creating equal learning opportunities for students in disadvantaged areas.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and praised the efforts of the entire sector, especially the spirit of overcoming difficulties of the team of teachers, managers and students. Currently, the whole sector is still short of more than 2,400 teachers; some localities have not arranged the staff properly, leading to a situation of local surplus - shortage. Facilities and teaching equipment in many places have not met the requirements of innovation, especially in remote areas. In addition, the situation of students dropping out of school still occurs, especially in disadvantaged communes where there are many ethnic minority students.
Mr. Van emphasized: “The new school year poses more requirements and challenges in terms of school size and task focus. The education sector needs to focus on innovation and improving overall quality; focus on education of qualities and creative skills to meet development and international integration requirements; effectively implement the education development strategy for the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2045.”

A good school will leave beautiful memories and memories for teachers and students, so that each generation will long to return." To realize this, he called on the teaching staff to continue to unite, be unanimous, build a healthy, loving, sharing pedagogical environment, at the same time take care of every step of the students and support colleagues to develop together.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Education and Training to strengthen training, professional development, management capacity, pedagogical skills and professional ethics for managers and teachers. Arrange and organize the team appropriately; overcome the situation of local surplus and shortage; mobilize resources from the budget and socialization to improve facilities and teaching equipment. At the same time, promote digital transformation in management, teaching and learning, especially in remote areas.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan - Director of the Department of Education and Training affirmed that the whole sector will focus on implementing 10 key tasks in the 2025-2026 school year. In particular, innovation in teaching, testing and assessment methods is considered key; focusing on education of qualities, skills, developing creative capacity, making English the second language in schools.
The sector will also build and upgrade four inter-level boarding schools in four border communes; coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training to upgrade and repair three key schools in 2025.
