At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation to visit and work in Vietnam; and highly appreciated the Lao side's interest in exchanging experiences with Vietnam in the field of management and development of state-owned enterprises.
The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that cooperation and experience exchange in this field is a strategic requirement to strengthen the macroeconomic foundation, serving the goal of sustainable economic development of each country.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc: Vietnam is ready to comprehensively share its experience and support Laos in the process of reforming and innovating state-owned enterprises, and also wishes to learn valuable experiences from Laos.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc shared that in recent years, Vietnam has synchronously implemented many solutions, issued and implemented many policies to innovate and reform state-owned enterprises towards modernization, improving efficiency and competitiveness.
The results achieved affirm the correct direction of the Party and State in leading the reform of state-owned enterprises, thereby helping enterprises promote their pivotal role in the economy and actively contribute to social security, national defense and security.
Vietnam is willing to comprehensively share its experience and support Laos in the process of reforming and innovating state-owned enterprises, and also wishes to learn valuable experiences from Laos.
Lao Deputy Prime Minister Saluemsay Kommasit expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the leaders of the Party and Government of Vietnam; emphasizing that this visit is of great significance in enhancing understanding and learning from the experiences of Vietnam, a country that has achieved many outstanding achievements in innovation and improving the efficiency of state-owned enterprises, especially in the context of deep international integration.
Comrade Saluemsay Kommasit, Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Enterprise Reform Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee spoke at the working session.
The Lao Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that reforming state-owned enterprises is a key task to build an independent and self-reliant economy of Laos; he hopes to continue receiving support from Vietnam, especially in training management staff, applying information technology in business management and operation, and affirmed that Laos will create all favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to invest and do business in Laos.
At the working session, the two sides had in-depth discussions on specific measures to promote cooperation in the field of state-owned enterprise reform and discussed cooperation directions in the coming time.
The two sides also agreed to continue maintaining a regular exchange mechanism between relevant agencies, facilitating the sharing of information and experience and promoting substantive cooperation, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries./.
