The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of senior Vietnamese leaders to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan; affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to the friendship and good cooperation with Turkey - a major investor and Vietnam's second largest non-oil trade partner in the Middle East. The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the results of the talks between the Turkish Defense Industry Agency and the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense , and suggested that the two sides continue to promote and deepen cooperation, especially in the field of defense industry, contributing to strengthening bilateral relations, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace and development in the region and the world.

The Chairman of the Turkish Defense Industry Agency affirmed that Turkey always attaches importance to and has high political trust in Vietnam; wishes to continue promoting comprehensive cooperation between the two countries; and believes that defense relations, especially defense industry cooperation, will have concrete and practical progress in the coming time.

★ On the afternoon of October 14, in Hanoi, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, received Chairman of the Turkish Defense Industry Agency Haluk Gorgun.

Minister Luong Tam Quang highly appreciated the positive developments in bilateral relations. In the field of security and order, cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and Turkish authorities has been continuously expanded and achieved many positive results. The two sides have promoted delegation exchanges, information sharing, coordination in crime prevention, participation in conferences, seminars and training cooperation.

The Minister highly appreciated Turkey's capacity to develop and master technology in the field of security and defense industry; emphasizing that security industry is an area where the two sides still have much room for cooperation, and can become a pillar in bilateral relations in the coming time.

Minister Luong Tam Quang hopes that the Chairman of the Turkish Defense Industry Agency will continue to pay attention and support so that the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security can have the opportunity to contact and cooperate with leading Turkish enterprises in the field of security and defense industry.

At the meeting, the two sides agreed to increase delegation exchanges at all levels, share experiences, and explore cooperation opportunities; at the same time, study and promote negotiations and sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of security industry.

★ On October 14, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung received a working delegation from TCL Group (China) led by General Director Vuong Thanh.

Mr. Vuong Thanh said that in Vietnam, TCL currently has 4 production facilities in Binh Duong province (old) and Quang Ninh province with a total accumulated investment capital of 310 million USD, expected to increase to 590 million USD by 2027; the Group's investment projects in manufacturing LCD panels and modules have contributed to attracting industries supporting the upstream supply chain to Vietnam...

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung wants to promote cooperation with China in industries such as electronic component manufacturing, supporting industries and medical components.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that TCL Group coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training and localities to connect with universities, vocational training facilities and domestic enterprises to implement training programs for projects in Vietnam; at the same time, encourage the transfer of technology and appropriate production stages to qualified Vietnamese partners.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government is committed to accompanying and creating favorable conditions for foreign investors, especially from China, to invest and do business effectively and sustainably.
