Parents accuse primary school meals in Da Lat of 'not ensuring quality'

Suspecting that poor quality food was used to prepare meals for students, parents gathered in front of a school in Da Lat (Lam Dong province) to take their children home for meals.

On the afternoon of September 16, speaking with VietNamNet reporters , the leader of the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat ( Lam Dong Province) said that he was coordinating with the Provincial Police and other relevant agencies to clarify the case of TV Primary School being accused by local residents of having contracted with a food supplier that did not ensure the quality of the students' meals.

According to the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, the police, related units and local authorities have also worked with the school's Board of Directors and representatives of the students' parents. However, the results must wait for the police to complete, then there will be official information, the ward leader informed.

This move came after social media recently shared a complaint alleging that the principal of TV Primary School contracted with a supplier to repeatedly bring dirty food into the boarding school kitchen.

Specifically, according to the report, during the 2024-2025 school year, the food supplier repeatedly delivered to the kitchen of the above school: 35kg of frozen beef balls, smelly, without packaging or labels; 60kg of pork, which after boiling, had a dark green color and a strange smell; 50kg of wet, smelly pre-sliced ​​beef and 10kg of smelly pork bones, showing signs of turning green...

The school kitchen staff reported to the principal about the unusual food and asked that it be returned or destroyed to ensure student safety. However, the school leadership did not take drastic measures, causing concern for the kitchen staff.

On June 4, the kitchen department requested school leaders to hold a meeting with parents to inform them about the lunch program, but to date it has not been implemented.
