Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy welcomes more than 1,200 new students

A joyful and touching “Welcome to the new school year” program was solemnly held at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Hung Yen province) on the morning of September 27. In addition to 300 new students attending in person, there was also the participation of many international organizations, friendship associations, and universities.

Awarded scholarships to more than 60 students with excellent academic achievements.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Cuong, Principal of the school, said: In the last two admission rounds, the school has recruited more than 1,250 students in the fields of Medicine, Pharmacy, Traditional Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Nursing and Laboratory Technology.

This school year, Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy achieved a new record in international enrollment with 172 international students from Laos and Cambodia. Thus, the current training scale of the school is nearly 7,500 students and nearly 550 international students from Laos, Cambodia, Mozambique and Korea.

The leaders of Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy awarded 5 million VND/person to the valedictorians.

To encourage and motivate students right from the beginning of the new school year, the school cooperated with credit organizations and businesses to award more than 60 scholarships (from 5 million to 10 million VND/person) to students who are good at studying, have good morals and have the will to progress in studying. In addition, 9 valedictorians in different majors with excellent scores were honored with a reward of 5 million VND/person and meaningful gifts.

Speaking here, the Principal of Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy congratulated the new students who passed the rigorous entrance exam to officially become students of the school. To maintain the quality of training, the school has always maintained the criteria of not considering admission based on academic records, because it does not reflect the true capacity of the students.

After 57 years of construction and development, Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy has had more than 30,000 undergraduate graduates; more than 3,000 postgraduate graduates. The school has trained more than 1,200 doctors and pharmacists for Laos, Cambodia and Mozambique.
