Military Region 9 carries out emulation movement to successfully complete tasks.

This information was clearly stated at the 2019 - 2024 Emulation Congress of the 9th Military Region Command held on August 14 in Can Tho . Attending the congress were Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, who attended and gave a speech directing the congress.

Over the past 5 years, the armed forces of Military Region 9 have continued to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the guiding viewpoints of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the guidance of the General Department of Politics on emulation, rewards and the emulation movement to win. In particular, the Military Region 9 Command has directed innovation in methods and ways of organizing emulation movements in a practical direction to gather and motivate the highest spirit and responsibility of the majority of officers and soldiers, creating a combined strength to carry out and excellently complete political tasks.

Emulation, reward work and the emulation movement to win always adhere to political tasks, closely linked with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers"; focusing on breakthroughs, overcoming weaknesses and difficulties; creating strong motivation to comprehensively complete military and defense tasks, building a strong and exemplary clean Party Committee of the Military Region, a comprehensively strong armed force of the Military Region "exemplary and exemplary".

Notably, over the past years, officers and soldiers of the Military Region's Armed Forces have promoted and expanded the model of "Military-Civilian Tet" in 12/12 provinces and cities and "Military-Civilian Tet among Khmer ethnic people" in Soc Trang, Tra Vinh, An Giang provinces and Can Tho city with a total mobilized budget of 2,198 billion VND. This is a very meaningful work, creating many new faces, being welcomed by most Party committees, authorities and people in the area, contributing to further tightening the solidarity relationship between the army and the people, building a solid "people's heart position".

Rewarding groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to win

The training and combat readiness tasks are organized and implemented by the armed forces of Military Region 9 in accordance with the characteristics of the river delta region; there are many studies, initiatives, technical improvements, and teaching model models applied in practice. There are many advances in building a regular system, management, education, and discipline training; regularly doing well the work of ensuring logistics, technology, finance, policy work, mass mobilization, and defense diplomacy; there are many policies and solutions to care for and improve the lives of officers and soldiers.

The emulation movement to win encourages agencies and units to excellently complete their tasks.

Speaking at the Congress, Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, requested to continue promoting the emulation movement to win, attach importance to thoroughly grasping and concretizing the Party's resolutions; build specific emulation targets; organize emulation with a plan; build the right emulation motivation for officers and soldiers, focusing on the grassroots, and reward and encourage promptly, accurately and in accordance with regulations.

Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang requested to build and replicate models and creative examples bearing the mark of Military Region 9; build green, clean, and beautiful regular barracks, take good care of the lives of cadres, officers, and soldiers; combine the emulation movement to win with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, and movements and campaigns of departments, branches, and localities.

“Focus on improving the quality of building and replicating advanced models; pay attention to building and implementing well individual emulation models that bear the mark and creativity of the armed forces of Military Region 9, with many advanced models and examples being popularized and replicated throughout the army and the whole country. Carry out emulation and reward work to ensure democracy, publicity, accuracy, timeliness, and focus on the grassroots; reward collectives and individuals who directly perform tasks and achieve outstanding and extraordinary achievements. Combine emulation and reward work with personnel work, military forces, and policies, promptly encourage collectives and individuals to enthusiastically compete and strive to excellently complete their tasks. Resolutely fight against formalism, achievement disease, and competition in emulation and reward,” Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang said.

On this occasion, the Military Region 9 Command commended and rewarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to win in the recent period.
