The Secretary of the Chi Linh City Party Committee believes that no matter where they are, love for their homeland is always a warm flame, connecting the Chi Linh community with the Fatherland Vietnam.
On November 30, in Moscow, more than 200 overseas Vietnamese who are originally from Chi Linh gathered and launched the Association of Compatriots. This is the second organization of compatriots in the province after the Hai Duong Association which has been operating effectively for a long time. Representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia attended and congratulated the Association.
In the Vietnamese community in Moscow, there are an estimated 400 people from Chi Linh, most of whom are overseas Vietnamese who have lived in Russia for more than 30 years, now reaching the second and third generation. In addition, there are also a number of students from Chi Linh who come to study at universities in the Russian capital.
The representative of the advisory board, which is the executive board of the Hai Duong Association, Dang Anh Ba, said that after more than 30 years of working and doing business in Russia, many people from Chi Linh have been very successful, have material conditions, have legal and stable businesses, and have knowledge of the law. They themselves have become the core and "Generous donors" to establish a "small homeland" organization, aiming to unite fellow countrymen and neighbors, create conditions for exchange, learning, helping, loving, and supporting each other, and join hands to build and develop a united and strong Association in Russia.
Mr. Ba also said that in response to the policy of great national unity of the Committee of Overseas Vietnamese, with the encouragement of the Embassy, as well as the desire to motivate and unite young generations born and raised in Russia with a common origin, the Liaison Committee of Chi Linh people held a preparatory meeting on September 28, 2024, unanimously elected businessman Bui Ba Vuong, a prestigious person in the community, as Chairman of the Association and took November 30 every year as the Association's founding day.
The Chi Linh City Association was established on a voluntary basis, but has clear charter and operating regulations, which are disseminated to all members.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman of the Association Bui Ba Vuong thanked the people for their trust and the support of previous Associations, and committed to the goal of building a friendly, united community that complies with the laws of the host country, together looking towards the homeland not only through investment projects but also through responding to calls for overseas Vietnamese in general and Chi Linh people in particular.
From his hometown, Chi Linh City Party Secretary Hoang Quoc Thuong sent a letter of encouragement to his fellow countrymen living far away from home, expressing his joy at the success and fame of Chi Linh's son in the "land of birch trees", and acknowledging the meaningful and practical contributions of overseas compatriots to their homeland.
