Rach Gia won first place in the national chess club championship.

(KGO) - Rach Gia Chess Club (Kien Giang) won first place overall (club level) at the 2025 National Club Chess Championship for The Grand Ho Tram Cup.

Rach Gia Chess Club won the overall team title at the club level of the 2025 National Club Chess Championship.

On June 12, Kien Giang Sports Training and Competition Center said that Kien Giang chess players had a quite successful tournament at the 2025 National Club Chess Championship.

Specifically, Kien Giang province has 2 delegations of athletes participating in the tournament; of which, the provincial delegation won 1 gold medal, 5 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.

Rach Gia Chess Club won 14 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 12 bronze medals. With this result, Rach Gia also surpassed other opponents to rank first in the club level of the tournament.

The 2025 National Club Chess Championship - The Grand Ho Tram Cup ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau ) is organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in coordination with the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department and the Vietnam Chess Federation.

The tournament gathered more than 1,300 athletes from 30 units nationwide to participate; competing in rapid chess, blitz chess and super blitz chess events...
