US President-elect Donald Trump's team is drafting a detailed list of senior figures who will be fired at the Pentagon, sources say.
Reuters on November 14 quoted informed sources as saying that members of President-elect Donald Trump's transition team are drawing up a list of officials to be fired, in an unprecedented reorganization at the US Department of Defense (Pentagon).
The plan is in its early stages following Trump’s November 5 election victory and could change as the Trump administration takes shape, according to one source. One source questioned the feasibility of the layoffs.

It is unclear whether Mr. Trump, who has previously criticized many of his defense leaders, will endorse the plan. Mr. Trump also vowed during the campaign to fire those responsible for the troubled withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.
Mr. Trump's campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Pentagon is expected to have many personnel changes under Trump's upcoming term.
According to sources, the incoming administration may focus on forcing out military officers who are believed to have links with Mark Milley, former Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff.
In his book War, published last month, author Bob Woodward quotes Mr. Milley as harshly critical of Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump’s allies have taken aim at Mr. Milley, accusing him of disloyalty to the former president.
"Every single person that Milley promoted and appointed is going to leave. There's a very detailed list of everyone that has been in contact with Milley. And they're all going to leave," according to a source.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff includes the highest-ranking officers in the US military, including the heads of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, National Guard and Space Force.
The revelation of plans to fire senior leaders of the US armed forces comes a day after Trump picked Pete Hegseth to be his secretary of defense. Hegseth, a veteran Fox News host, has expressed his willingness to clean up the Pentagon.
Some current and former US officials say such a major personnel shakeup is unlikely, arguing that it would be unnecessary and disruptive at a time when the world is witnessing wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
