The launch of the photo book and the organization of the photo exhibition is an opportunity to look back and honor the enduring creativity, burning love for art and the silent contributions of the members of the Hai Au Club over the past 35 years. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for the public to enjoy the vivid moments of the country and people of Vietnam through the emotional perspective of female photographers.
With the exhibition “Colors of life of Vietnamese ethnic groups”, Hai Au Club once again affirms its position in the country’s photography life, while also sending a humane message: Art is not only for enjoyment but also for sharing, connecting and spreading love. Every year, the Club allocates a portion of revenue from the sale of photographic works, photo books and exhibitions to raise charity funds, joining hands to support unfortunate lives, especially Agent Orange victims.
After 35 years of establishment and development, Hai Au Club is a common home for talented and dedicated female photographers, marking many outstanding achievements. Currently, the Club has 25 members, all of whom are experienced photographers, the oldest is over 80, the youngest is over 40, all of whom share a passion and deep love for photography.
Over the past 35 years, the Club has organized two cross-country trips (in 1995 and 2005), 503 creative trips, participated in 225 domestic and international photo exhibitions, and owned 1,191 award-winning works (Gold, Silver, Bronze medals, and Encouragement prizes).
Not only creative activities, every year, the Club organizes an exhibition and publishes a black and white photo book on the occasion of its birthday (October 6), and also releases a color photo book to mark the 25th, 30th and 35th anniversary of the Club.
On September 25, at the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Cultural House, an exhibition will take place introducing 100 outstanding works, selected from 298 works in the book "Colors of life of Vietnamese ethnic groups". On October 8, the exhibition will continue to be held at the Vietnam Women's Museum, Hanoi , displaying 54 selected works, reflecting the richness of ethnic life, expressing the emotional perspective and artistic depth of the female photographers of the Hai Au Club.
