At IFA 2025, Samsung Electronics introduced Vision AI, marking a new milestone in the journey of developing AI-integrated displays on Samsung TVs and monitors. With an upgraded, smarter voice assistant, Bixby, Vision AI offers a natural and seamless interaction experience, integrating Samsung's most advanced AI features into a single, intuitive platform, making it easy for users to discover content and get contextual answers to any question.
As consumers around the world look for devices that can go beyond streaming, Vision AI underscores the growing role of TVs in the smart home ecosystem. With AI at the heart of the entertainment experience, Samsung enables personalized content recommendations, intelligent cross-device interactions, and intuitive support for everyday life.
“At Samsung, we invest in technologies that make experiences more personalized, intuitive, and future-oriented,” said Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience, Visual Display, Samsung Electronics. “With Vision AI, we are redefining what TV can do—going beyond picture and sound quality to deliver an experience that understands, interacts, and evolves with you over time.”
Conversational and intuitive intelligence
What makes Vision AI assistant different is its ability to answer questions and requests with intuitive, intelligent responses from multiple AI agents, with just the press of an AI button on the remote control.
Powered by Generative AI, Vision AI assistant delivers a more natural and flexible conversation experience that can understand context and follow-up questions, making the interaction as smooth as a real conversation - no commands, no menus, no typing.
Vision AI allows users to ask questions directly to Samsung TVs about any content displayed on screen, such as movie information, artwork titles, or travel destination recommendations. Getting answers from an AI companion becomes more intuitive and comprehensive. Answers will always be relevant to the context of every question, with the option of related images/ videos to make the search experience richer and more vivid.

Not only does it respond, the Vision AI assistant also understands the context and the next conversation chain, displaying relevant information right on the screen. Diverse content from movies, TV, art, cuisine, sports or travel is presented in the form of dialogue, creating a natural and seamless communication with the TV.
Vision AI also integrates Samsung's key AI breakthroughs into a single experience, making smart features more accessible to users:
Live Translate translates on- screen dialogue and subtitles in real time.
Generative Wallpaper helps you create dynamic wallpapers according to your personal preferences.
AI Picture, Active Voice Amplifier Pro and AI Upscaling Pro automatically adjust picture and sound, optimizing the viewing experience on any content.
AI Gaming Mode delivers a smooth, immersive gaming experience optimized by AI.
Microsoft and Perplexity's Copilot: a standalone AI agent app that supports work and productivity, extending the functionality of the Vision AI assistant right on TV.
By unifying these functions, Vision AI assistant helps users no longer have to switch between multiple applications or menus, becoming the center for managing entertainment, work and connected experiences.
From idea to reality
Samsung's Vision AI concept, first introduced at CES 2025, aims to elevate the home screen experience across TVs, monitors, and other display devices. At its core, Vision AI focuses on enhancing picture and sound quality, supporting seamless communication between Samsung devices, and delivering personalized content through an advanced AI agent. The technology is backed by Samsung's long-term commitment: 7 years of free software upgrades through the One UI Tizen platform, including the latest AI updates and security patches from Samsung Knox.
With the launch of Vision AI, these ideas are becoming a reality, bringing a new level of personalization, device integration, and user support. According to Samsung, Vision AI will begin rolling out as a software update from late September, first in Korea, North America, and select European markets, then expanding to other regions.
