On September 25, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Cloud & Datacenter Convention 2025 (VNCDC 2025) gathered more than 750 delegates and over 35 speakers, along with domestic and foreign policy makers and technology enterprises. The conference took place when the Vietnamese cloud & datacenter market is forecast to reach 1.03 billion USD by 2028, thanks to the need for digitalization, international investment capital flows and policy orientation emphasizing data sovereignty .

The agenda shows a wide coverage and depth of discussion: opening with a roundtable on “Digital Ambitions, Real Challenges: Is Vietnam Ready for Hyperscalers?”, followed by sessions on data center investment opportunities, “cyber resilience” capabilities for critical infrastructure, net-zero roadmap with certification/operation standards, “greening the cloud” at scale, compliance requirements for data/personal protection laws, and 10 challenges of DC operations in the AI ​​wave. The conference also emphasized the theme of “cloud convergence - connection - compute” as a new reality when AI and distributed data become operational standards.

Along with nearly 15 keynotes and thematic panels, the content “From Edge to Cloud: Powering the Future with 5G, Cloud Native & Edge Computing” by a representative from VNPT Cloud added a slice of the real-time needs of the digital economy . Instead of honoring a “focus”, this presentation was placed as a complementary piece to the overall picture: how to reconcile low latency, scalability and operational safety in emerging scenarios such as smart manufacturing, smart cities, digital healthcare, and precision agriculture.

Use cases are set in the Vietnamese context: optimizing urban traffic flows based on real-time data; patient monitoring devices for early warning of abnormalities; agricultural sensors for regulating irrigation based on microclimate. The common denominator is local processing for instant decisions, conference synchronization, flexible expansion in the cloud layer - a technical roadmap that can be realized with open standards, avoiding technology lock-in.
