On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, there was a musical film that was gentle and profound but still contained enough historical values, contributing to enriching the artistic products celebrating the country's birthday. That was "Letter to the Future" produced by the Arts Department (Vietnam Television), broadcast continuously on VTV channels.

In this musical film, Sao Mai 2022 Champion Le Minh Ngoc was specially invited to participate in two roles as the main singer and actress. The film also marks a new and emotional turning point for Le Minh Ngoc herself in her singing career.
On September 17, in Hanoi, singer Le Minh Ngoc had a press conference to share about the heartfelt musical film “Letter to the Future”, introduce the music project singing for Hanoi and his new artistic journey.

The musical film “Letter to the Future” directed by Lam Ha recreates the 80-year journey of national history through the fate of Mr. Tam’s family – an intellectual who participated in the revolution in 1945 and who sacrificed his life at the gateway of Saigon, Xuan Loc.
The film tells the story of Ngoc (played by Le Minh Ngoc) - a music student who is struggling with her artistic path. When she returns to her hometown to take care of her grandmother Nho, she unexpectedly finds letters from Mr. Tam to his daughter, Nho. From the letters filled with father-daughter love, Ngoc relives the heroic and tragic historical moments of the nation.

Determined to help Mrs. Nho fulfill her last wish - to find the grave of her martyr father, Ngoc used social media to connect, find Mr. Tam's old comrades and bring his remains back to his hometown. On that journey, Ngoc not only found true emotions for her singing, but also understood more deeply the sacrifices of the previous generation. Mr. Tam's last letter to the future became a sacred message, connecting the past with the present, reminding the younger generation to live up to the sacrifices of their fathers. The film has the participation of People's Artist Lan Huong, People's Artist Ngoc Khang, Meritorious Artist Thien Tung...

In particular, the appearance of singer Le Minh Ngoc as the main singer and playing two roles - Ngoc and young Mrs. Nho - is one of the surprising impressions of the film. From a familiar voice of folk music, this time Le Minh Ngoc completely transformed herself, singing chamber music, bringing a fresh "breath" to the songs that have been with the times.
Singer Le Minh Ngoc shared that right after winning the championship at Sao Mai 2022, she decided to switch to chamber music because she loves this genre of music. “I feel that when I sing chamber music, I am most like myself in music. I have constantly practiced my vocal techniques to sing chamber music better,” the female singer shared.
In 2023, singer Le Minh Ngoc participated in the National Chamber, Musical - Choir Singing Competition and won First Prize. This helped her to confidently pursue chamber music and perform excellently through the musical film "Letter to the Future".

Complimenting the young singer, People's Artist Quang Tho said that with two prestigious awards in two music genres, Minh Ngoc is a singer with good qualities and has ambitions in her music career. Through the musical film, it can be seen that Minh Ngoc also has good acting ability and is full of potential.
Following Le Minh Ngoc's musical development, singer Tung Duong commented that Minh Ngoc's voice always maintains its emotions and is becoming smoother. Minh Ngoc will go far when she cultivates her passion and determination on the path she has chosen.
After the musical film “Letter to the Future”, the female singer revealed that she is working on a music project about Hanoi , preparing to release it on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025). The project includes many famous songs about Hanoi selected by Le Minh Ngoc and the crew and will be released regularly every week on her personal YouTube channel in the near future.
Le Minh Ngoc said she chose to sing about Hanoi because she wanted to show gratitude to the land that loved, protected, and gave her the career and life she has today, and also because chamber music songs about Hanoi are very good and meaningful. She wants to contribute to spreading the love for Hanoi more widely and persistently.
