Slope landslide affects 14 households in Khuon Lung commune

Due to the impact of storm No. 7 from the night of September 12 to 13, Khuon Lung commune experienced heavy rain over a large area; heavy rain caused landslides in many villages, causing damage to houses, crops and infrastructure.

Landslides affected the houses of 4 households in Pho village, Khuon Lung commune.

On-site force 4 of Khuon Lung commune supported Mr. Hoang Van Ven's family, Trung Thanh village, to clean up and move their property.

According to Khuon Lung Commune People's Committee, heavy rains have affected the houses of 14 households; 1.36 hectares of rice, 0.05 hectares of corn and 0.045 hectares of cassava were buried. Regarding infrastructure, 15m of concrete canal and 8m of earthen canal were broken; the spillway bridge at Km0+800 of Na Chi - Quang Nguyen road had its approach road eroded, posing a danger to people and vehicles. Total damage is estimated at about 600 million VND.

Khuon Lung Commune People's Committee has directed specialized departments to review and count the damage. At the same time, mobilize local forces and local people to support the evacuation of people and property of households affected by landslides to safe places. At the same time, propagate to people to proactively grasp information about the weather, apply preventive measures, and minimize damage caused by natural disasters.
