Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, President of Miss Grand International (MGI), recently held a press conference to officially inform about the noisy incident in recent days after the Myanmar National Director removed the crown and title sash of Miss Grand International 2nd Runner-up Thae Su Nyein from Myanmar because of dissatisfaction with the result.

Accordingly, Mr. Nawat still holds the position of second runner-up of Thae Su Nyein. However, he announced to stop all cooperation with this organization. This was made in the context that he said that the second runner-up Miss Grand International was forced to give up the crown by the Myanmar National Director.

He did not want to find a replacement, hoping that one day she would change her mind and want to return. He only agreed to take back the crown when Thae Su Nyein herself personally stated the reason for not wanting to accept the throne.

The noisy crown removal incident at Miss Grand International:

Immediately after, Thae Su Nyein livestreamed and responded: "I don't need the second runner-up position and don't need to keep this position. I came here to win the beauty queen title and believe I deserve a higher position."

She also wondered why she didn't win the Miss Popular Vote, Country's Power of the Year and Best National Costume awards. She deleted the video shortly after the live broadcast.

Mr. Nawat then responded gently, saying that he would review all of the beauty's statements and respond officially according to the procedure. He talked about many troublesome issues with the beauty, such as her anger when a contestant accidentally stepped over her national costume and demanded that person apologize.

Mr. Nawat did not regret giving her the opportunity. He suggested that Thae Su Nyein should organize her own competition so that she could win all the prizes and said that someone like her should not participate in competitions or compete with others but should live in her own fantasy world .
