On the morning of September 5, International University held the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, welcoming more than 1,800 new students.
In particular, the opening ceremony had the participation of many students from Asian and European countries participating in the exchange program with accumulated credits in the first semester.
This time, the school will welcome 176 international exchange students. Of these, nearly 50 students have come to Vietnam to get acquainted and participate in study and exchange programs.
According to the representative of the International University, the presence of international students not only brings a breath of fresh air to the academic environment, but also opens up opportunities for exchange, learning and developing global thinking for the school's students.
Through exchange programs, the spirit of integration, openness and respect for cultural diversity is increasingly spread throughout the student community.
This is considered one of the unique values that helps the International University affirm its identity and enhance its position in the process of internationalizing education .

In the 2025-2026 school year, the International University will welcome more than 1,800 new students admitted through 3 admission methods: Direct admission, priority admission; Admission based on the results of the Competency Assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025; Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
In order to encourage the spirit of learning, every year the International University spends nearly 10 billion VND to grant scholarships to students, trainees and postgraduates with excellent achievements.
Scholarships include: Full (100% tuition, worth 108–156 million VND); Partial (50% tuition, worth 50–78 million VND).
For the 2025-2026 school year alone, the school will award scholarships worth a total of about 7 billion VND to honor new students with high scores in the 2025 university entrance exam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Thang, President of the International University, sent many meaningful messages to the new students of the 2025 class.
He emphasized: "This moment marks a transformation: from a pupil to a student, from passively receiving knowledge to actively creating and conquering knowledge. University not only teaches students a career, but also helps them find themselves, hone their character, form their ideals and create value for the community."
In his speech, the school principal conveyed three core points.
First, become a lifelong learner. Knowledge changes every day, the important thing is not to memorize everything, but to know how to learn, to ask questions, to dare to debate and think independently. The school will provide the tools, but it is the students who turn them into knowledge and action.
Second, commitment to experience. Degrees are necessary but not enough, because skills, attitudes and creativity are the sustainable advantages. Students are encouraged to join clubs, scientific research, community projects, start-ups, international exchanges... so that every experience, whether successful or not, becomes a step towards maturity.
Finally, students need to cultivate ideals in life. Ideals will be the guiding light before making choices. Whether it is contributing to the homeland, doing science for the community or being kind to everyone, all are worthy of respect. Ideals help students not to lose direction in a changing and tempting world .
