From the 9th day of the Lunar New Year 2024, Cam Minh commune mobilized more than 600 cadres, members and people to join the campaign to build a new rural area. On the first day of the campaign, people participated in planting 500 new mango trees, building 500 new flower beds on the main roads of the villages; pruning and taking care of flower trees along the roads, creating a green - clean - beautiful landscape.

Mr. Tran Van Khien - Party Secretary, Chairman of Cam Minh Commune People's Committee said: "With the goal of striving to achieve the standards of an advanced NTM commune in 2024, right after the Lunar New Year holiday, the locality organized a campaign to deploy the tasks. Currently, the criteria for an advanced NTM commune have been basically completed, while the remaining criteria for centralized clean water are being actively implemented by the district. At this time, the commune is also focusing on directing and launching emulation movements to consolidate and improve the quality of the criteria in 8/8 villages across the commune."

Not only Cam Minh commune, at this time, Cam Thach commune also put aside all the activities of celebrating Tet to launch the construction of an advanced new-style rural commune in 2024. During the launching ceremony, more than 400 cadres, members, and people simultaneously launched the campaign to improve the criteria.

Since the beginning of the year, Cam Thach commune has cleared nearly 820m of corridors to expand roads; built 900m of sidewalks, 1,130m of concrete alleys, 800m of drainage ditches and more than 1,400m of drainage ditch covers. At the same time, Cam Thach commune has mobilized forces to support people in building nearly 300m of fences after expanding roads, built nearly 100 waste treatment pits, mobilized 24 households to make bio-bedding and participated in renovating mixed gardens.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thuy - Chairman of Cam Thach Commune People's Committee said: "After Tet, the commune launched a peak emulation campaign to build new rural areas with the motto "Total force, synchronous, all-people, comprehensive, drastic and effective". In particular, we focus on promoting agricultural development towards improving productivity, quality and value of agricultural products; renovating household gardens, auxiliary works, renovating and developing garden economy , building green fence systems, donating land, donating trees, donating fences; clearing traffic corridors, collecting and treating household waste, and raising livestock in accordance with regulations".

It is known that in the early days of the Giap Thin spring, Cam Xuyen district has 6 localities that have launched the campaign to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas, including the communes of Cam Quang, Cam My, Cam Thach, Cam Minh, Cam Lac and Cam Xuyen town. Accumulated from the beginning of the year until now, 23 communes and towns in the district have launched the campaign to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas in 2024.

Mr. Le Ngoc Ha - Vice Chairman of Cam Xuyen District People's Committee said: "With the goal of building an advanced NTM district by the end of 2024, right from the beginning of the year, the district has organized a summary, reviewed the criteria and built a plan framework and specific tasks. We also have documents guiding and directing localities to launch the NTM construction campaign according to the new criteria set earlier than every year. Through inspection, localities have all launched enthusiastically, carried out many practical and effective tasks; creating an exciting atmosphere right from the first months of the year to soon complete the set plan".

According to the roadmap, Cam Xuyen district strives to meet the standards of an advanced NTM district by the end of 2024. The communes of Cam My, Cam Quang, Cam Thach, Cam Trung, Cam Minh, and Nam Phuc Thang strive to meet the standards of an advanced NTM commune, and Cam Xuyen town and Thien Cam town will meet the standards of a civilized urban area by 2024.
