Strengthening grasp and solving employment for workers

(DN) - On the afternoon of September 16, a working delegation from the Department of Employment (Ministry of Home Affairs) led by Director Vu Trong Binh worked with the Dong Nai Employment Service Center on the situation of labor, employment and the center's activities.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of Dong Nai Provincial Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Huu Dinh.

Dong Nai Employment Service Center was established under Decision No. 154/QD-UBND dated July 1, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee. The total number of employees and workers after the merger is 105. In the first 8 months of 2025, Dong Nai Employment Service Center provided job counseling to more than 85,000 workers and introduced jobs to more than 9,000 workers. In addition, it organized 9 job fairs with nearly 170 registered businesses. Regarding the work of receiving and resolving unemployment benefits, the center decided to grant unemployment benefits to more than 40,000 people with an amount of more than 1.3 trillion VND.

Dong Nai Employment Service Center recommends that the Department of Employment consider building a software to process unemployment insurance operations nationwide that is connected to the National Population Database to facilitate the settlement of unemployment benefits and serve the appraisal work, avoiding unemployment insurance fraud. Propose that the Department of Employment and the Provincial People's Committee support funding for repairing the headquarters and major items of the center.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Employment Vu Trong Binh requested Dong Nai Employment Service Center to develop a long-term development project for the center and identify the core tasks as employment services, labor market information, and job counseling for employees. In addition, build an autonomous mechanism after the merger; joint ventures, and partnerships with businesses to train practical occupations and supply labor to businesses. At the same time, assign personnel to stay close to industrial parks and businesses to grasp information on the labor market, jobs, and recruitment needs of businesses to solve employment for employees.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son highly appreciated the outstanding results of Dong Nai Employment Service Center in recent times, especially in consulting, career orientation, job introduction for employees, human resource supply, contributing to the socio -economic development of the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son suggested that the center take into account the opinions of the Department of Employment to innovate effective operating models in the coming time. The staff and employees must strive, work with high morale and learn from the experiences of other units in the employment field to perform well the assigned tasks. In addition, collect and provide information on the labor market; connect vocational schools, businesses and the Employment Service Center in training, consulting and introducing jobs.
