Christmas is almost a month away so the demand for decorative items in Hanoi tends to increase.

Snowmen, reindeer, Santa Claus… are being busily produced by many shops on Hang Ma Street (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) to serve people's shopping needs.

Small snowmen with height from 60cm - 80cm are offered for sale at price of 500,000 - 800,000 VND, with size "higher than 2m" offered for sale at price from 3,000,000 VND.

To have a beautiful, perfect product, the maker must be really skillful and meticulous. The knife used to cut the foam must be very sharp, and the cutting must be steady and decisive.

The owner of this shop said that to "mold" a giant snowman requires two workers working continuously for 3 days with many different finishing stages.

Since the end of November, there have been many orders for foam snowmen, reindeer, Santa Claus…. Customers are mainly schools, shops, businesses buying them for decoration.

Hang Ma Street has "put on a new coat" of brilliant colors, welcoming traders, residents and tourists to come and shop for Christmas.
