In the past, many workers in Ea Na had to leave their hometowns to work in distant provinces. Now, thanks to participating in the construction cooperative model, people have stable jobs near home. The cooperatives specialize in renovating and repairing houses and public works to meet the increasing demand in the locality.
Established in 2020, the Tuor B Construction Cooperative has 12 members who have all been trained in construction and have their skills improved according to local ethnic programs and policies. In nearly 5 years of operation, the Cooperative has contracted more than 40 projects from houses, fences and auxiliary works, and livestock houses. The average income from the project of each group member is 10 million VND/month.
Similarly, for over a year now, the members of the Ea Na village construction group have had stable jobs and incomes, no longer having to worry about finding extra work or making ends meet.
Mr. Y Bin Enuol, Head of the Ea Na Village Construction Cooperative, said that the group was established in 2024 with 10 members and quickly began operating effectively. Not only did the members learn construction skills at training classes organized by the locality and were equipped with skills, the Cooperative was also supported with many means and machines to serve the construction work, making the work more convenient.

Ea Na commune currently has 5 construction cooperatives with over 50 members who are ethnic minorities. From 2020 to now, the cooperatives have received nearly 200 projects, including house construction, kitchen construction, toilets, fences and many other items with a total income of hundreds of millions of VND for each group. |
Ea Na commune currently has many cooperatives operating in different fields, of which construction cooperatives are highly appreciated for their sustainability and spreading ability. On average, each year, construction cooperatives create jobs for dozens of workers, with an average income of 6 - 10 million VND/month. Thanks to that, the poverty rate among ethnic minorities has decreased significantly, and life has improved day by day.
Not only creating jobs, the model also helps people improve their skills. Members often support each other in their work, experienced people guide new people, thereby forming a workforce with professional skills, meeting social needs. The special feature of the Ea Na village construction cooperative is the close bond between members. In addition to working together on projects, members also often share production experiences and help each other in life.
Mr. Y Kun Kbuôr, Head of the Tuôr B Construction Cooperative, confided: “Working in the Cooperative, we not only earn income but also support each other. If anyone is in difficulty, the whole group joins hands to help. That makes members feel more secure and confident to stick with the profession. This is also an environment for young people to practice and mature. Many ethnic minority youths, after working for a while, have become skilled workers, can take on small projects, opening up opportunities to start a business right in their hometown.”
In order for the model to develop further, in the coming time, Ea Na commune will continue to coordinate with units to open short-term vocational training classes and support necessary tools and equipment for cooperatives.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Dong, Chairman of Ea Na Commune People's Committee shared: "It can be said that the construction cooperatives in Ea Na commune have been affirming their important role in creating jobs and improving the lives of ethnic minorities. From the first bricks, the roofs built are not only physical structures but also symbols of solidarity, diligence and aspiration of the people here."
