The "Red Flamboyant" train - A new symbol for a civilized and modern journey on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route

(PLVN) - From May 10, 2025, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hai Phong City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong in coordination with the Vietnam Railways officially put into operation the "Hoa Phuong Do" train on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route. This is not only a step forward in transport infrastructure but also an effort to innovate for the long-term benefit of people and tourists.

According to information from Vietnam Railways Corporation , the “Hoa Phuong Do” train is designed with three service segments: 34-seat VIP car, 56-seat first-class car and 64-seat economy car. Each segment is upgraded synchronously in terms of service quality, facilities and accompanying amenities.

The VIP car is a special highlight, with a unique Indochinese style, combining classical architecture and modernity. The interior uses natural wood floors, is equipped with high-speed wifi, and has a bar serving free drinks. The ticket price for the VIP car is 250,000 VND at the beginning of the week and 300,000 VND at the weekend - a price considered reasonable compared to the high standard of service quality.

First class with seats that can rotate 180 degrees, creating a flexible and comfortable feeling, suitable for both business travelers and tourists . Ticket prices are 150,000 VND and 180,000 VND respectively depending on the time.

18 economy cars are decorated with themes and symbolic images of Hai Phong city.

The economy class, despite its popular price starting at only 105,000 VND, is still carefully invested in amenities, ensuring cleanliness, spaciousness and friendliness for passengers.

Notably, on the occasion of the opening, the Railway industry launched a promotional program to reduce ticket prices by 10% on the entire Hanoi - Hai Phong route from May 10 to 18, 2025. Train brands applicable to the promotion include HP1/HP2, LP5/LP6, LP2/LP3 and LP7/LP8.

The luxurious and elegant interior of the Hoa Phuong Do ship will attract many tourists to the Port City.

The operation of the “Red Flamboyant” train not only demonstrates the Railway industry’s determination to innovate but also contributes to promoting tourism, economic development and regional connectivity. The Hanoi – Hai Phong route, which has long been a key traffic axis, has become even more attractive with the appearance of modern, safe and aesthetically pleasing trains.

People and tourists can buy tickets online or at train stations nationwide. From May 10, the Hoa Phuong Do train schedule, from Hai Phong to Hanoi, train LP6 departs Hai Phong station at 9:10, train HP2 departs Hai Phong station at 18:40, train LP5 departs from Hanoi station to Hai Phong station at 15:15... With the orientation of taking passengers as the center, Vietnam Railways is gradually affirming its role in the modern, convenient and environmentally friendly transportation system.

The Red Flamboyant Train will be inaugurated on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong City Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025), selling tickets to serve people from May 10, 2025.
