THACO accompanies school football in Dong Nai province

On August 8, at the Dong Nai Province Sports Training and Competition Center Gymnasium, the Opening Ceremony of the 20th Dong Nai Newspaper Cup - CP Vietnam Children's Football Tournament took place.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee, Mr. Nguyen Son Hung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Dao Van Tuan - Editor-in-Chief of Dong Nai Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee and leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors. THACO representative, Mr. Tran Dao Minh Huu - General Director of THACO AUTO Dong Nai attended the ceremony.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung spoke at the ceremony.

Accompanying this tournament, THACO hopes to bring a useful and healthy sports playground to raise awareness of health training for children. At the same time, discover and nurture passionate and enthusiastic young talents, contributing to the development of Vietnamese football.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Mot - Senior Director in charge of Culture and Sports of THACO said: "Dong Nai Newspaper's persistent maintenance of a playground for children who are passionate about football throughout the province every summer for the past 20 years is a very valuable work and THACO wishes to accompany Dong Nai Newspaper. Thereby, contributing to promoting school football in particular and the sports movement in general to develop more and more strongly".

In addition to the school football tournament, THACO has also actively accompanied Dong Nai Newspaper in the scholarship program "Overcoming difficulties for the future" for many consecutive years, thereby supporting nearly 3.2 billion VND, awarding more than 1,600 scholarships to students.

The 20th Dong Nai Newspaper Cup - CP Vietnam Children's Football Tournament took place from August 8 to 14, with the participation of 11 children's football teams, which are primary school students from districts and cities in Dong Nai province. The tournament was divided into 2 groups and played a round robin, each group selected 2 teams to compete in the semi-finals.

The champion team will receive a prize of 20 million VND, along with a cup, flag and gold medal. The second-place team will be awarded 15 million VND, along with a flag and a silver medal. The two third-place teams will each receive 10 million VND, a flag and a bronze medal. In addition, the Organizing Committee will also award style prizes with a prize of 3 million VND, along with individual prizes such as Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer and Best Player of the tournament.

After 19 times of organization, the Dong Nai Newspaper Cup - CP Vietnam Children's Football Tournament has affirmed its position as an important sporting event, actively contributing to the development of school football in Dong Nai province.
