At Quan Su Pagoda, the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Central Committee for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Trong Nghia warmly visited and sent congratulations to the venerable clergy, monks, nuns, and Buddhists nationwide on the occasion of National Day September 2 and Vu Lan Festival.
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that throughout the revolutionary journey, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has always accompanied the nation, promoted the tradition of "protecting the nation, bringing peace to the people", contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc. In particular, the activities of propagating Dharma, charity, humanitarianism, and social security of the Sangha have created a widespread influence, contributing to building a rich spiritual life for the people. The Party and the State always pay attention and create conditions for religious organizations to operate according to the motto "good life, good religion", comply with the Constitution and laws, and accompany the country in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia hopes that the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will continue to promote the spirit of engagement, attachment to the people, join hands to preserve and promote cultural and ethical values, contributing to building a spiritual foundation in the new era.
Next, at the Hanoi Archdiocese, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia met and congratulated the Vice President of the Vietnam Bishops' Council, Archbishop of the Hanoi Archdiocese, Joseph Vu Van Thien, along with priests, religious, and lay people on the occasion of National Day, September 2. On behalf of the Party and State leaders, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of Catholics nationwide, including the Hanoi Archdiocese, to the cause of innovation, construction, and development of the country.
