Establishment of Vinh Long Province Economic Zone Management Board

(Chinhphu.vn) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Decision No. 1642/QD-TTg dated July 31, 2025 on the establishment of the Vinh Long Provincial Economic Zone Management Board.

According to this Decision, the Vinh Long Provincial Economic Zone Management Board is established on the basis of merging the Tra Vinh Economic Zone Management Board, Tra Vinh Province, the Ben Tre Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board and the Vinh Long Industrial Parks Management Board.

The Vinh Long Provincial Economic Zone Management Board (hereinafter referred to as the Management Board) is an agency under the People's Committee of Vinh Long province, performing the function of direct state management of industrial parks and economic zones in Vinh Long province; managing and organizing the implementation of the function of providing public administrative services and other support services related to investment, production and business activities for enterprises in industrial parks and economic zones in Vinh Long province according to the provisions of law.

The Management Board has legal status, an account, a seal with the national emblem; state administrative management expenses, career operation expenses and development investment capital are provided by the state budget according to the annual plan and other funding sources according to regulations of competent state agencies.

Duties and powers of the Management Board

The Management Board performs its duties and powers in accordance with current laws. The Head of the Management Board shall submit to the People's Committee of Vinh Long province specific regulations on the functions, duties, powers and organizational structure of the Management Board in accordance with the laws.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation (July 31, 2025); abolishes Decision No. 1563/QD-TTg dated October 5, 2009 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Tra Vinh Economic Zone Management Board, Tra Vinh province.

The People's Committee of Vinh Long province is responsible for coordinating with the Ministry of Justice to review and propose to abolish Decision No. 178/2005/QD-TTg dated July 15, 2005 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Ben Tre province and Decision No. 163/1999/QD-TTg dated August 9, 1999 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Vinh Long according to the provisions of law.
