"Light candles in gratitude" to heroic martyrs

DTO - On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), on the evening of December 19, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee coordinated with the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, and the People's Committee of Tam Nong district to organize a "Candlelighting Ceremony" to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at the Tam Nong District Martyrs' Cemetery.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Huynh Minh Tuan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches, Tam Nong district and more than 200 union members and youth.

At the ceremony, leaders of the province and Tam Nong district, together with union members and youths, respectfully offered incense and flowers to the altar of the Fatherland and lit candles of gratitude on each grave of the heroic martyrs to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who fought bravely and steadfastly in the fight to protect the Fatherland.

The "Lighting candles in gratitude" ceremony is an activity to educate the tradition of patriotism for union members and youth and to demonstrate the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the youth of the Red Lotus Land of Dong Thap towards the generation of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their blood and bones for the peace and freedom of the Fatherland.
