Three more engineering majors of Tra Vinh University achieve ABET accreditation

DNVN - Tra Vinh University (TVU) has just marked another important milestone in the journey of improving the school's training quality when it officially has 3 more engineering majors that meet ABET (USA) international accreditation standards, including: Construction Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, and Electrical - Electronics Engineering Technology.

As of August 2025, TVU has a total of 27 internationally accredited training programs, including FIBAA (Europe), AUN-QA (Southeast Asia) and ABET (USA), contributing to putting TVU in the top universities in the Mekong Delta with many programs accredited for international education quality. This is a step forward affirming the University's continuous efforts in integrating regional and world education.

TVU has 27 internationally accredited training programs, including 4 programs accredited by ABET (USA).

Of which, 11 programs meet FIBAA standards (Europe): Business Administration, Economics , Law, Accounting, Finance - Banking, Sports Management, Office Management, Master of Business Administration, Master of Economic Management, Master of Health Management, Master of Education Management.

12 programs meet AUN-QA standards (Southeast Asia): Agriculture , Aquaculture, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Pharmacy, Khmer Language, Food Technology, Master of Culture, Preschool Education, Primary Education, English Language.

4 programs meet ABET standards (USA): Information Technology (previously accredited) and 3 newly accredited majors including Construction Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical-Electronic Engineering Technology.

According to the announcement from the Engineering and Technology Accreditation Board ABET, 3 engineering majors of TVU are recognized to meet international standards until 2031 and will be considered for re-accreditation thereafter. The accreditation report noted that the school's training programs ensure output standards, are closely linked to business needs, and have many outstanding evidences that graduates are highly appreciated and have a good employment rate after graduation as well as being active in research, innovation and creativity among students.

The continuous expansion of the list of internationally-standardized programs helps TVU affirm its position in the Vietnamese higher education system, gradually affirming its reputation and position in high-quality university training, expanding opportunities for academic cooperation and student and lecturer exchange with prestigious universities around the world, giving students more competitive advantages in the domestic and foreign labor markets.

In addition, for many consecutive years, TVU has been in the Top 200 universities with green educational environments and sustainable development investments, according to UI GreenMetric Ranking. For three consecutive years 2022, 2023, 2024, it has won the award for excellent digital transformation. For 6 consecutive years, TVU continues to rise in the Top 100 innovative, creative and influential schools, contributing to society in 2025, ranking 29th in the Top 400 schools, up 13 places compared to 2024 - TVU ranked 42nd in the Top 100.

Up to now, TVU has 5 schools and training institutes under the school such as: School of Economics and Law; School of Southern Khmer Language - Culture - Arts & Humanities; School of Medicine and Pharmacy with Tra Vinh University Hospital; School of Engineering and Technology; School of Pedagogical Practice, Institute of Biotechnology, Mekong Delta Coconut Institute.
