Another temporary rest stop on the highway through Thanh Hoa comes into operation

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quynh, Executive Director of the QL45 - Nghi Son project (PMU 2) said that recently, to facilitate people's travel, the investor and contractors have leveled the ground, built a toilet system, and installed corrugated iron sheds at Km 367, through Phu Son commune, Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa province.

The temporary rest stop is built on the left side of the route (North - South direction) at Km 367, Highway QL45 - Nghi Son.

Actual observations show that on the left side of the route (North-South direction), an empty land has been built with a system of corrugated iron roof houses for people to do business selling food and drinks. In addition, there is also a restroom area and two lighting poles at the entrance and exit of the temporary rest stop.

"The funding for building temporary rest stops is all provided by the contractors implementing the expressway project," Mr. Quynh added.

Every day, many vehicles enter the temporary rest stop on Highway QL45 - Nghi Son.

It is known that previously, at the Mai Son - National Highway 45 project, the section passing through Dong Hoa commune, Thang Long Project Management Board built a temporary rest stop at Km 329.

At the construction site, along both sides of the highway is an empty land of thousands of square meters, with a closed toilet system, surrounded by an outer wall. In addition, there are rows of houses with corrugated iron roofs and hand washing sinks. The road up and down to the station is paved with crushed stone, fully equipped with night lighting system and signs to guide and warn vehicles.

The North-South Expressway, the Eastern section through Thanh Hoa province, is 98.8km long (with 3 component projects including: Mai Son - National Highway 45 (49.02km long); National Highway 45 - Nghi Son (43.28km long) and Nghi Son - Dien Chau (6.5km) has been completed and put into operation.

According to the design, the expressway through Thanh Hoa has 7 interchanges and two rest stops on the Mai Son - National Highway 45 and National Highway 45 - Nghi Son sections. Currently, the bidding process has been deployed and the construction of rest stops on the expressway sections will soon be carried out.
