Youth Union members of Huong Thuy ward support people in filling out various types of documents and administrative procedures.

Maintain a pioneering role

After more than 2 months of operating CQDP2C at An Cuu Ward Public Administration Service Center (PVHCC), the volunteers in green shirts are still on duty here to support people in the process of completing procedures.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (An Cuu Ward) shared that this was the second time he returned to the An Cuu Ward Public Service Center since the ward merged. Besides the enthusiasm of the staff, Mr. Hung was impressed with the timely and dedicated support of the union members and youth.

As one of the first units in the city to establish a youth volunteer team to support people coming to the Public Service Center to handle procedures since July 1, An Cuu Ward Youth Union is still maintaining the above activities with 2-3 members participating in each session.

“Currently, the unit has reduced the number of members participating in support because people have gradually become familiar with new administrative processes and procedures. Instead, we focus on deploying forces to spread to residential areas to mobilize and guide people to get acquainted with the government's digital technology applications,” said Nguyen Minh Thang, interim Deputy Secretary of the An Cuu Ward Youth Union.

Ms. Hoang Thi Nhu Thanh, Chairwoman of An Cuu Ward People's Committee, assessed: The joint support of the youth volunteer team in operating CQDP2C has contributed to helping the new administrative apparatus operate smoothly, scientifically and handle procedures quickly and conveniently.

Together with An Cuu ward, since the beginning of July, promoting the spirit of "Youth must be a pioneering force, creative, ready to take on new tasks", 40 youth volunteer teams have simultaneously launched to support and guide people in carrying out administrative procedures at the Public Service Center and one-stop shop of 40 new communes and wards in the city.

The members focused on supporting people, especially the elderly, with basic operations on public devices; installing and using the VNeID application and electronic identification accounts. At the same time, they supported the use of national and local public service portals, including operations such as submitting applications online, looking up settlement results, making online payments, registering for electronic citizen accounts, etc.

Constantly innovating and creating

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai, Vice Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the City Youth Union, informed: After the CQDP2C comes into operation, it means that there will no longer be district, town, and county Youth Unions like before; this requires the team of Youth Union cadres at the city level to continue to closely follow and grasp the situation with the Youth Union in 40 communes and wards.

This is also one of the key goals set by the City Youth Union in the last 6 months of the year. In particular, focusing on tasks related to organization, apparatus and operation arrangement and innovation; continuing to deploy registration and implementation of youth projects and tasks associated with the local socio -economic development tasks. At the same time, creating an environment, supporting and helping young people to promote their creativity, do business, start a business, establish a career, actively participate in digital transformation; improve digital capacity for union members, young people...

With the spirit of "Youth must be a pioneering, creative force, ready to take on new tasks", since the beginning of July, the city's youth have carried out many meaningful movements and activities, contributing to building Hue worthy of a centrally-run city. Notably, the "Green Sunday" movement was launched simultaneously to respond to the operation of the CQDP2C model and to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025) launched by the City Youth Union. Since then, the youth unions of 40 communes and wards in the city have also simultaneously launched "Green Sunday" with many meaningful works and tasks: Launching to ensure environmental sanitation; cleaning up public areas, renovating memorials and martyr cemeteries; collecting and treating waste, eliminating black spots of waste; planting, caring for and protecting trees; promoting waste classification at source; launching campaign to limit plastic waste...

As a locality formed from the arrangement of the entire natural area and population size of the three wards of Long Ho, Huong Long and Kim Long, Kim Long Ward Youth Union Secretary Le Vu Dam said: "Currently, there are three martyr cemeteries in the ward, so we have evenly distributed forces to launch "Green Sunday" at all locations. Similar to other movements and activities, larger areas require calculating organizational plans and ensuring widespread dissemination, avoiding local situations."

That is also the common spirit of 40 youth unions of communes and wards across the city. Since then, the City Youth Union has directed grassroots youth organizations to simultaneously implement activities of visiting, giving gifts of gratitude and organizing "Warm and loving reunion meals" at the families of people with meritorious services to the revolution and their relatives. At the same time, from July 24 to 26, candle lighting ceremonies to pay tribute to heroic martyrs were also held at all cemeteries, steles, monuments and martyr memorial houses.

According to Secretary of the City Youth Union Nguyen Thanh Hoai, the human factor is equally important, contributing to the success of movements and activities. Therefore, Youth Union cadres must be the vanguard force, the more challenging the situation, the more they need courage, responsibility and aspiration to contribute. Each individual needs to continue to promote the vanguard role, maintain the flame of enthusiasm, and accompany the Youth Union organization in the process of innovation and development.

After merging communes and wards and operating CQDP2C, many union officials continue to hold the positions of secretary and deputy secretary of the local youth union. This is the core force, with the capacity and experience to continue promoting the union movement at the grassroots level.

Having been involved in the youth union and youth movement for many years, the former Deputy Secretary of the A Luoi District Youth Union, Le Thi Le Thuy, now continues to contribute as Secretary of the A Luoi 2 Commune Youth Union (merged from A Luoi town, Hong Bac, Quang Nham and A Ngo communes). “To continue to be associated with the youth uniform is an honor and pride; at the same time, it is a responsibility for myself. I hope that with my current experience and the support of the union cadres, union members and youth, the A Luoi 2 Commune Youth Union will have many good activities, models and effective ways of doing things, worthy of the expectations of the government and the people,” said Ms. Le Thi Le Thuy.
