The railway concentrated human resources to rescue throughout the night at the severe landslide point at Km 180+090 - Km 180+125 of Yen Vien - Lao Cai route, in Yen Thai commune, Van Yen district, Yen Bai province.

Specifically, at the Ngoi Hop - Mau A section of the Yen Vien - Lao Cai railway, some points had roadbeds washed away, roadbed slopes collapsed, soil and rocks filled ditches and overflowed onto the roadway; Landslides in cable trenches damaged underground signal cables. The railway had to block off the section to organize rescue and remedy the consequences.

Preliminary damage to the road and bridge: Km 178+200 - Km 178+260 had a landslide on the right side of the railway route, had to ban trains at 6:30 this morning (October 7); Km 179+150 - Km 179+200 had a landslide on the right side of the railway route, soil covered the rail surface, had to ban trains from 4:15 this morning. Immediately after receiving the news of landslides and damage to railway infrastructure, local railway units mobilized hundreds of personnel and machinery for continuous repair. By 9:00 p.m. tonight, the repair was completed, returning the track to a speed of 5km/h with a guide for trains through Km 179+950 - Km 180+250. After the construction train safely arrives at Mau A station, the section will be cleared for train H2205 to run to Ngoi Hop station, officially opening the route.
