TPO - Binh Duong province has officially opened Bach Dang 2 bridge and the Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang dynamic road.

On the morning of September 23, Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee held the inauguration and put into use Bach Dang 2 Bridge.

Bach Dang 2 Bridge connects trade between Dong Nai - Binh Duong provinces and provinces and cities in the Southeast region, connecting with Long Thanh airport, Bien Hoa airport and the seaport system.

The project connects Bach Dang commune (Tan Uyen city, Binh Duong province) with Binh Loi commune (Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province) with a length of more than 2.8km, of which the bridge is 410m long, 17m wide and has 4 lanes. The total investment of the project is nearly 500 billion VND.

Once completed, Bach Dang 2 Bridge will contribute to perfecting the inter-provincial transport system, facilitating people's travel and the circulation of goods in the key economic region of the South.

Dong Nai and Binh Duong are two provinces separated by the Dong Nai River. Although both are in the Southern key economic region with many economic and cultural connections, for many years the two localities have only had two direct connecting bridges (Dong Nai Bridge on National Highway 1A and Thu Bien Bridge). Bach Dang 2 is the third bridge connecting the two localities.

After 3 years of construction, Bach Dang 2 bridge officially opened to traffic.

On the same day, Binh Duong province also held the inauguration ceremony and opened the Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang dynamic road after 3 years of construction.

The route is nearly 50km long, with a design speed of 80km/h, 6 lanes, and asphalt concrete surface. The total investment cost of the project is more than 3,800 billion VND.

The project connects Tan Thanh intersection (intersection with DT.746 road, Bac Tan Uyen district) with Lai Uyen town (Bau Bang district).

The project is divided into 4 components. Of which, the road section from Tan Thanh to Tam Lap bridge is invested by Bac Tan Uyen district People's Committee, about 10km long. The road section from Tam Lap bridge to Dong Phu is about 13km long, invested by Phu Giao district People's Committee. The road section from Tam Lap intersection to Bau Bang is invested by Phu Giao district People's Committee, about 18km long. The road section from Tan Long - Lai Uyen is invested by Bau Bang district People's Committee, about 9km long.

Both sides of the road creating momentum for Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang are filled with rubber trees.

Up to now, the project has been completed, connecting traffic with main axes such as National Highway 13, DH.613, DT.741... improving exploitation efficiency, serving needs and shortening travel distance, transporting goods in the area.

This is a key traffic project, creating development momentum for Bau Bang district, Phu Giao district and Bac Tan Uyen district, contributing to the economic - cultural - social development of Binh Duong province and the whole region.

When put into use, the route will contribute to reducing travel time and costs from industrial parks of Bau Bang district to Phu Giao - Bac Tan Uyen - Dong Nai province (and vice versa), promoting urban, industrial and service development in localities in the North of Binh Duong.
