Meeting with National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man , Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru believes that Vietnam will continue to develop and soon become a leading country in Asia.
On the afternoon of December 5, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that Vietnam considers Japan one of its leading and long-term important partners. Vietnam supports Japan in promoting its active role and contributing to peace , stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world. Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba said that he recently met with President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at multilateral conferences. He emphasized that the relationship between the two countries is extremely good and there is a close connection between the two countries' senior leaders.

Sharing his impressions of his visit to Vietnam 35 years ago, Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba believes that Vietnam will increasingly develop and soon become a leading country in Asia. At the meeting, the two sides agreed to strengthen human resource training ties through promoting labor cooperation, high-quality human resource training, and people-to-people exchange. Vietnam continues to send more workers to Japan, supporting the response to the aging population problem in Japan. The two sides agreed to continue creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Japan. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man asked Japan to continue supporting Vietnam in the cause of industrialization and modernization; promote and expand investment cooperation in infrastructure, clean energy, renewable energy, high-quality agriculture , green transformation, digital transformation, data centers, semiconductor chips, etc. The National Assembly Chairman also asked Japan to support Vietnam in participating in the global semiconductor supply chain; early implementation of new generation ODA projects. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man assessed that the relationship between the two countries is at its best stage with high political trust, close and close exchanges at high and all levels. President of the Japanese House of Councillors Sekiguchi Masakazu believes that this year marks a new beginning of the cooperation journey between the two countries in the next 50 years. The Japanese House of Councillors will continue to make active contributions to the development of bilateral relations. The two leaders were pleased that the relationship between the two countries continues to achieve outstanding and substantive results in economic, trade, investment, labor, human resource training, cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and local connections between the two countries. Japan is the largest ODA donor, the second largest labor cooperation partner, the third largest investor, the third largest tourism partner, and the fourth largest trade partner of Vietnam. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man proposed that Japan support Vietnam in industrialisation and modernisation, building an independent, self-reliant, deeply and comprehensively integrated economy; and implementing three strategic breakthroughs in infrastructure, institutions and human resources. The two leaders affirmed that parliamentary cooperation is an important channel in the overall relationship between the two countries. The Vietnamese National Assembly and the Japanese House of Councillors signed a cooperation agreement to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies on bilateral and multilateral levels... The two leaders agreed to increase exchanges and contacts between parliamentarians, especially young parliamentarians and female parliamentarians between the two countries; further promote the important bridging role of the Parliamentary Friendship Union in promoting people-to-people exchanges, business cooperation and cooperation between localities...
