Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Hon Thom - Phu Quoc Sea Tourism , Resort and Entertainment Complex.

Hon Thom sea tourism, resort and entertainment complex with an investment scale of up to 50,000 billion VND, is identified as one of the key projects of Phu Quoc, on the way to realizing the goal of becoming a highly developed marine tourism and eco-tourism center.

Located in Hon Thom - the largest island in the An Thoi archipelago (Phu Quoc), Hon Thom Sea Tourism, Resort and Entertainment Complex has a scale of 310 hectares, including many items such as water park, theme park, aquarium, dolphin performance stage, water music, theater, eco-resort...

The design and construction philosophy of the entire complex honors the magnificent nature of Hon Thom island, taking tourists as the center and culture and art as the foundation, thereby developing high-class services and utilities, with the biggest goal of bringing people into harmony with nature, preserving and maximizing natural values as well as elevating the position of the Pearl Island, with its own unique cultural and artistic values.

With that philosophy and goal, within the complex are 6-star resorts such as Ritz Carlton Reserve Hon Thom, designed as if born from the sea and forest of Phu Quoc, which will bring visitors experiences that help raise people's awareness of the environment, minimizing the impact on nature. In the world , Ritz Carlton Reserve is considered a "brand" in the resort industry.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated Phu Quoc on its development achievements over the past time, from a devastated island after the war to the pearl island it is today; affirming that this is the effort of the Party Committee, government and people of Kien Giang province in general, and Phu Quoc in particular. This proves the correct policy that tourism is a key economic sector, the private economy plays an important role in the country's economy; affirming the efforts and rise of the country in general, and Kien Giang in particular.

"We have achieved extremely important victories, but Phu Quoc is still developing rapidly, unsustainably, not relying on science and technology, innovation, and startups to develop sustainably in terms of ensuring national security and social security. We must have the mindset, methodology, and approach to promote Phu Quoc to develop faster and more sustainably, to "turn the situation around, change the state". To do so, we must concretize the Party and State's policies and guidelines on Phu Quoc development; continue to solve infrastructure problems for Phu Quoc in terms of transportation such as seaports, airports, medical infrastructure, education, and environment.

The Government must accompany Kien Giang and Phu Quoc to build Phu Quoc city into a green, clean, beautiful, safe, civilized, modern, prosperous and happy city. We must attract all resources for development, so we must have businesses," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized.

The Prime Minister also affirmed that the Party and State always protect the legitimate rights and interests of businesses and people, including foreign businesses.

The Prime Minister hopes that businesses will promote national pride and self-reliance among Vietnamese businesses. He called on the business community to join the Government in building an increasingly strong and prosperous Vietnam.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated and acknowledged Sun Group's participation in developing Vietnam's tourism, changing the provinces of Quang Ninh, Tay Ninh, and Phu Quoc; hoped that the group would continue to promote the spirit of changing the land wherever it goes, while operating in accordance with the law, ensuring efficiency, in accordance with the policies of the Party and State, in line with the group's vision; actively participating in social security work; developing cultural industry, and awakening the cultural potential of the country.

The Prime Minister hopes that Kien Giang and Phu Quoc will accompany businesses in general and Sun Group in particular to develop Phu Quoc quickly and sustainably, based on science and technology, innovation, and startups to build Phu Quoc into a frontline island of the Fatherland with a developed economy, maintaining national security and defense, independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, ensuring security, social order and safety...
