During a working visit to New Zealand, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia met with National Assembly Chairman Gerry Brownlee, the Minister of Universities and university leaders.

Meeting with the National Assembly Chairman , Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated the positive developments in the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, especially after upgrading to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership earlier this year.

The Speaker of the New Zealand Parliament affirmed that New Zealand will continue to accompany Vietnam in the development process, thereby contributing to the common prosperity of both countries.

At the meeting with the Minister of Universities of New Zealand, both sides highly appreciated the educational and training cooperation between the two countries. The Minister said that since the beginning of this year, New Zealand has decided to increase the number of scholarships for Vietnamese students to support Vietnam in training human resources.

Working with the leadership of Victoria University of Wellington and Auckland University of Technology, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated the quality of New Zealand's educational environment, emphasizing that educational and training cooperation is an important pillar in the bilateral relationship; suggested that universities on both sides study and develop long-term, sustainable, and practical cooperation plans; diversify forms of cooperation, and train high-quality human resources.

On this occasion, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia met with officials of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community.
