(Bqp.vn) - On the morning of March 25, in Hanoi , the Department of Electronic Warfare, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army held the 2024 Military Electronic Warfare Conference. Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army attended and delivered a speech. The report at the conference affirmed that in 2023, the electronic warfare force thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the orders and commands of all levels; synchronously deployed contents and measures to improve the quality of electronic warfare tasks; and successfully completed the task of protecting events and exercises.

At the conference, delegates focused on clarifying the outstanding results in performing electronic warfare tasks in the past time, limitations, causes, and at the same time proposed a number of key measures in the coming time. In particular, focusing on doing a good job of advising superiors to organize the activities of electronic warfare forces effectively, close to the requirements of each agency and unit; improving combat readiness, protecting the safety of targets and important events taking place in the assigned area; grasping the situation in key areas, at sea, on islands, and on borders; analyzing and handling situations, synthesizing and reporting promptly to command headquarters at all levels, avoiding being passive or surprised. At the same time, focusing on synchronous and in-depth training, focusing on practice as the main thing, proficiently using technical equipment, especially new and modern technical equipment; organizing multi-level and multi-form exercises...

Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang praised the entire army's electronic warfare force for being proactive, creative, and completing the assigned tasks well. Emphasizing that the task of the electronic warfare force continues to have new developments and increasingly high requirements, Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang requested the Electronic Warfare Department and electronic warfare units throughout the army to strictly maintain the combat readiness regime, be ready to mobilize to perform assigned tasks, and protect the safety of key targets and important events of the country. Organize training for the subjects according to the program and plan; continue to make breakthroughs in improving the overall quality of combat training; foster and improve the level and organizational command capacity of cadres at all levels. Maintain the order of technical work regime, ensure good coefficients of weapons and technical equipment. Promote scientific research and application of information technology in the management, exploitation and use of electronic warfare equipment.

Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang also noted that electronic warfare units must regularly study combat objects, organization, structure, equipment, combat capabilities and electronic warfare development trends of the armies of various countries; research and forecast war forms, combat objects, military art, arrangement and use of electronic warfare forces in various types of combat and high-tech warfare to have effective handling plans.
