MU contacts Baleba

A disastrous start to the season forced MU to look to improve the squad in the winter transfer window, with Carlos Baleba as the target - one of the most mentioned names in the summer.

According to Football Insider , despite Baleba's poor start to the 2025/26 season , MU still wants to own the Cameroonian footballer .

The "Red Devils " believe that Baleba can become a key factor in their project , so they are willing to invest heavily to have his services.

Brighton have made it clear that they have no intention of lowering their asking price, meaning United would have to negotiate a minimum of £100m.

Thus, it is not impossible that a face in the current squad will have to leave Old Trafford.

Real Madrid want Mainoo

Real Madrid continue to focus on strengthening the squad for the future , not only looking towards the summer of 2026 but also considering signing new contracts in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Spanish press revealed that Real Madrid are very interested in Kobbie Mainoo, an English midfielder who is not appreciated by Ruben Amorim.

Xabi Alonso needs more personnel for long races – Antonio Rudiger's injury is a warning – so Mainoo becomes a priority.

In the last days of the transfer window, Mainoo had offered to leave MU on loan but was rejected by the club.

With his future with England at the 2026 World Cup in mind, Mainoo could reiterate his request, opening the door to the Bernabeu for the 20-year-old midfielder – who had a 100% passing accuracy when he came on in the derby against Man City.

Arsenal close in on French gem

Arsenal are very interested in Ayyoub Bouaddi - the pearl of French football who is currently a mainstay in the Lille shirt.

Bouaddi is only 17 years old but has already played 37 matches in Ligue 1. The player born to a Moroccan family also soon debuted for France U21, after going through many youth levels.

Besides his rapid maturity, Bouaddi also stands out for his ability to adapt to different playing conditions – a deep-lying, defensive-minded central midfielder who can play as a centre-back.

Bouaddi is in the top 8 most valuable players born in 2007 - after Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi (with Barca), Estevao (Chelsea), Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal), Geovany Quenda (Sporting; joining Chelsea in 2026), Rodrigo Mora (Porto), Franco Mastantuono (Real Madrid).

According to many sources, Arsenal is likely to buy Bouaddi and let him continue playing for Lille for another 1-2 seasons, like the previous case of William Saliba.
