Total import-export turnover of goods at Bac Luan II border gate and Km3+4 opening reached more than 2.87 billion USD

Since the beginning of the year, import-export activities at Bac Luan II border gate and Km3+4 opening have continued to record impressive growth in both volume of goods, turnover and number of participating enterprises. This is a positive signal showing the strong and stable recovery of border trade activities, while affirming the important role of the border gate area in the international supply chain and trade.

According to statistics from the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Gate Management Board, from January 1 to July 6, 2025, the total volume of imported and exported goods through Bac Luan II border gate, Mong Cai 1 ward, Quang Ninh province and Km3+4 opening, Mong Cai 3 ward, Quang Ninh province reached 1,341,691 tons, an increase of 36% over the same period in 2024. Of which, at Bac Luan II bridge border gate alone, the volume of goods reached 841,813 tons, an increase of 43%. On average, the volume of imported and exported goods through this border gate per day reached about 4,575 tons, mainly agricultural products, aquatic products, consumer goods, and imported processed goods.

At the Km 3+4 opening - which specializes in agricultural import and export activities, the volume of goods also grew positively. The main products include: fruits reaching 215,553 tons, frozen seafood reaching 106,181 tons, tapioca flour 15,257 tons, and many other types of goods such as dried seeds, live shrimp, crabs and fish with a volume of thousands of tons. Notably, the number of Chinese vehicles entering through this area reached 4,414, transporting more than 13,000 tons of goods, an increase of 2% over the same period last year.

The total number of vehicles entering and exiting the country through the border gates reached 81,185, a significant increase compared to the same period last year. Of which, Bac Luan II bridge border gate accounted for the majority with 65,401 trips, the rest were vehicles traveling through the Km 3+4 opening, recording an increase of 5.5% compared to the same period in 2024.

Not only increasing in volume, import-export turnover also recorded a breakthrough. As of July 4, 2025, the total import-export turnover of goods at Bac Luan II border gate and Km3 + 4 opening reached 2,877.84 million USD, an increase of 31% over the same period in 2024. Along with that, the number of enterprises carrying out import-export procedures reached 1,351 enterprises, an increase of 406 enterprises compared to the previous year, of which 599 new enterprises arose.

Notably, state budget revenue from import-export activities at Bac Luan II border gate and Km3+4 opening reached VND 1,349.39 billion, an increase of 18% over the same period in 2024.

With stable growth momentum, along with efforts in reforming administrative procedures, improving the quality of logistics services and connecting border gate infrastructure, import-export activities at Bac Luan II border gate and Km3+4 opening are expected to continue to flourish in the last months of 2025.
