Some businesses have had to agree to terminate labor contracts with employees. Typically, at a company in Binh Tan District, since the beginning of the year, 9,284 workers have lost their jobs. Some businesses have had to let workers wait for work or take Saturdays off every week.

Up to now, the majority of workers are confident in production. However, it is forecasted that the production and business activities of enterprises will continue to be difficult due to unstable orders; the lives, jobs and income of workers will continue to be affected.

The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation forecasts that the labor relations situation at the end of 2023 and during the Lunar New Year 2024 still has the potential risk of labor disputes and collective work stoppages due to issues of salary, Tet bonus, social insurance, etc.
