Recently, Travel Off Path - a famous American travel website shared a list of the top 5 fastest growing destinations in Southeast Asia. Phu Quoc Island ( Kien Giang ) topped this list.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, three years after world tourism fully reopened since the Covid-19 pandemic, Southeast Asia is gradually asserting its position as a leading destination in the world, ready to compete with the Americas and Europe.
Among the most prominent destinations in Southeast Asia, Travel Off Path has selected 5 centers with the fastest growing tourism industry in the region today.
Phu Quoc tops the list as one of the most beautiful islands in Vietnam. It boasts stunning natural scenery and a variety of exciting activities. International visitors to Phu Quoc will also enjoy a visa-free policy.
Tourists can explore mysterious primeval forests with many trekking trails hidden under dense tree canopies, or visit the bustling night market, enjoy the colorful space at the international-class entertainment complex.
Above all, this island is also famous for its clear blue beaches and fine white sand, promising to bring interesting experiences to visitors.
It is known that in January 2025, Phu Quoc airport recorded an impressive growth rate in terms of quantity when adding more than 108 thousand seats, equivalent to an increase of about 185.2% compared to the previous month. This is the highest growth rate among airports in Southeast Asia.
Thereby, affirming the effectiveness of the visa exemption policy, promoting cooperation between airlines, increasing the exploitation of new routes and the number of flights to Phu Quoc.
Besides Phu Quoc, famous tourist destinations such as Phuket, Bangkok (Thailand), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Singapore are also on the list of fastest growing destinations in Southeast Asia voted by Travel Off Path.
