Regarding the implementation of the Thanh Long Lake eco-tourism project, the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee agreed with the proposal of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the contents related to planning work. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung assigned the Provincial People's Committee Office and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate and advise the Provincial People's Committee on the submission to the Central Government before March 22. Emphasizing the important significance of the implementation of the Thanh Long Lake eco-tourism project in the socio -economic development of the province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung requested that the project implementation steps must be strict, ensuring regulations and avoiding conflicts between related plans.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Con Son-Kiep Bac relic site has been approved by the Prime Minister to be nominated along with the Yen Tu relic and scenic complex (Quang Ninh), Vinh Nghiem (Bac Giang) to submit to UNESCO for recognition as a world heritage site with a protected boundary of 838.66 hectares, without the Thanh Long lake area. The Thanh Long lake area is only a landscape space, supplementing and enriching this heritage complex. The planning of Hai Duong province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, identifies the Thanh Long lake tourism development area as having an area of 1,380 hectares. This area is included in the socio-economic development orientation of the province and is a key project, prioritizing investment attraction.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document requesting the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to allow the Thanh Long Lake area to be removed from the dossier of the task of planning the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the Con Son - Kiep Bac special national relic site associated with tourism development in Chi Linh City in the period of 2023 - 2033, with a vision to 2050. At the same time, allow the planning of the Thanh Long Lake eco-tourism area into a landscape area, supporting the promotion of the value of the Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site according to regulations.
