Trinh Minh Hien released his first album about Hanoi after 24 years of composing.

(Dan Tri) - The album " Hanoi Hanoi" marks the 24-year creative journey of musician and violinist Trinh Minh Hien.

After much anticipation, at the end of 2024, to mark his 24-year journey of composing songs, violinist Trinh Minh Hien introduced to music lovers the song collection Hanoi Hanoi on December 27.

True to its title, the album introduces to the audience 10 songs that are compositions inspired by Hanoi, the author's emotions about the place she was born, where she lived, loved and burned with passion for art for more than 20 years.

In the album's preface, Trinh Minh Hien shared: "A little girl holding a bright violin in the International Photo Studio next to Hoan Kiem Lake, that was me in the winter of 1987.

Hanoi drifted through my childhood, through many seasons I lived and loved, with each grain of emotional "air". That witness has been with me since when, so that the Hanoi in the songs I write often evokes many memories, lingering as if I had to leave, then hurrying to return.

Maturity is when we encounter the final layer of emotions, of nostalgia called Hanoi, Hanoi .

The album's representative image is a girl, wearing a red ao dai, holding a violin, leading people to Hanoi, to love Hanoi, to feel Hanoi. These are not the usual directions in terms of place names, but emotional directions, evoked by stories, special images of Hanoi.

In the album, many songs do not mention Hanoi by name but sing Hanoi. The feeling of Hanoi is strong, but also very simple.

Sharing his feelings about the album, musician Nguyen Vinh Tien said: "Perhaps the tree has been nurturing for many days to give sweet fruits to life. I continue to be fascinated with Hanoi Hanoi, with the sweet voice of Tung Duong. Mother lulls the leaves to sleep with the powerful and soulful voice of Thanh Lam. And also the very playful features of the "childish woman" Ngoc Khue in Oh, the power outage...

The album as a whole is Trinh Minh Hien. His musical personality and talent have shaped him as an author. I believe in my intuition, and the girl in the daisy field is still there, still full of personality, continuing to walk the streets of Hanoi. Discovering and portraying new and charming perspectives...".

The collection of songs in the album Hanoi Hanoi Vol.1 by musician Trinh Minh Hien is a collection of old and new recordings with 4 outstanding voices - Hanoians singing about Hanoi.

They are People's Artist Thanh Lam, singers Tung Duong, Ngoc Khue and Ha Linh. With an album dedicated to Hanoi, as soon as he had the idea to make this album, Trinh Minh Hien thought that he had to invite artists who understand and love Hanoi.

Because only by understanding and loving this land deeply can one easily sympathize and convey the emotions of the songs in the best and most complete way.

In terms of music, Hanoi Hanoi is a multi-style, multi-color album, with violin sounds of many different nuances and techniques, from Classical ( Hanoi Hanoi ) to Latin Blues Jazz ( Oh, the power is out ) to Pop ( Wet spots ), Alternative Rock ( Call me Hanoi ), Country ( When we intertwine our fingers )...

Interestingly, the album also introduces the guitar sounds of famous and familiar guitarists, each with their own style, such as: Artist Le Minh Son ( Hanoi Hanoi ), Doan Viet Dung ( Oh, the power outage) , Dang Anh Tuan ( Hanoi, the stormy night, When we intertwine our fingers ), Huu Hiep ( Mother lulls the leaf) ... and the participation of leading musicians in arrangement, arrangement, and recording such as: Musician Thanh Phuong, Luu Ha An, Tran Manh Hung... with the voice of Diva Ha Tran in the vocal part of the song Mother lulls the leaf.

Musician and violinist Trinh Minh Hien was born in 1980 in Hanoi. In 2003, she graduated as valedictorian of the University, Strings Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music.

Before the album Hanoi Hanoi , she introduced to the audience the album Phuong Linh , made many quality MVs, and performed in Truong Sa.

She also introduced Phuong Linh to international audiences in a tour of Italy. Phuong Linh's live show won the 2023 Outstanding Program Award from the Vietnam Musicians Association.
