Trinh Minh Hien released the MV Nguoi Ha Noi on the evening of August 19 along with two other products, which are the violin concert album Lap linh vang sao and in collaboration with the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum to release the MV Tien quan ca.

Among them, Lap linh vang sao is a rare instrumental album released on the occasion of National Day September 2 this year.

"Hanoi People" is very new

Nguyen Dinh Thi wrote Nguoi Hanoi in early 1947, during the early stages of the resistance war against French colonialism, right after Vietnam was founded. The song resounded on fierce barricades, urging them to advance amid "the dust of the streets swirling and flying, the bodies of enemies falling under their boots/ The booming, booming sounds of gunfire, how joyful, echoing of a bright tomorrow".

For over half a century, Hanoians has been performed by symphony orchestras, piano solos, guitar solos...

However, this time Trinh Minh Hien decided to re-arrange Nguoi Ha Noi for solo violin. The artist kept the original melody but incorporated classical violin techniques such as clamping, free cadenza, tremolo, left-hand pizzicato...

The MV's visuals were directed by Italian director Gianmarco Maccabruno Giommetti with slow motion effects, capturing portraits of more than 60 Hanoians in more than 30 typical scenes of Hanoi today.

At the press conference on August 19, Trinh Minh Hien shared that Nguyen Dinh Thi's Hanoi People is an epic poem written in the early stages of the country's founding, when the resistance war was still ongoing with many difficulties.

But when she re-arranged the new work, she thought about Hanoians today, people living in peacetime.

Trinh Minh Hien did not "destroy" Nguoi Hanoi but completed the unfinished work of Nguyen Dinh Thi nearly 80 years ago. The MV is a tribute from today's Hanoians to yesterday's Hanoians, those who fell for today's independence and freedom.

Album Glittering Gold Stars as a gift for the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country

The album "Lập rung vang sao" (Golden Star) includes 9 works and was released on August 19, commemorating the success of the August Revolution. Of which, only one song has lyrics ( Biển Sóng , composed by Trinh Minh Hien himself), the remaining 8 typical instrumental pieces of revolutionary music were specially arranged by the artist for the violin.

Including: Hanoians, My Hometown; medley Ho Chi Minh's Song, Who loves Ho Chi Minh more than children, As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory; Grateful to Vo Thi Sau; My hometown Quang Binh ; Song by the hammock; The girl sharpening spikes; The country is full of joy.

The album title was inspired by the line "the sky is covered with golden stars" in The Hanoian by Nguyen Dinh Thi and "the waves sparkle with golden stars, thousands of soldiers on the Lo River" in The Lo River Epic by Van Cao.

The songs are arranged chronologically from 1945 to present, recording the ups and downs, changes and development of the country over the past 80 years.

The artist recorded the album live in the studio, mostly acoustically. The band lineup ranged from a solo violin for the first track to a full band for the final work.

Classical, semi-classical, pop, world music, and country music elements are interwoven to create a feeling that is both familiar and strange, both heroic and chill for the songs that have stood the test of time.

Trinh Minh Hien also collaborated with the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum to release the MV Tien Quan Ca. The product is part of a series of events celebrating the museum's 80th National Day.

The MV captures the artist's footsteps with a violin in hand, in dialogue with the works of art displayed here, especially nine national treasures (six paintings and three sculptures).

According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Minh, museum director, the unit will soon post the MV on the museum's digital platforms for wider promotion.
