According to the patient, around 7-8pm on September 29, 3 people were resting when a flash flood suddenly occurred at the Deo Ca Group's operating house in Duc Long commune, causing 1 person to be swept away by the flood. Luckily, they were able to cling to an electric pole along the road and were promptly rescued by the authorities and surrounding people using ropes, so there were no human casualties. The authorities then promptly took the 3 patients to Thach An Medical Center to assess their health status and provide first aid.
Immediately after receiving the patients, doctors at Thach An Medical Center examined, re-evaluated the injury status, administered IV fluids, pain relief, and temporarily treated the patients' wounds. Two patients with minor injuries received first aid and were discharged from the hospital. One patient who was affected by the flash flood also received first aid, had his leg wound stitched, and is currently being monitored and his health is stable.
By the morning of September 30, the Center received another patient from Duc Long commune with soft tissue injuries who received first aid and is in stable health.
Doctor CKI Nong Duy Thiep, Deputy Director of Thach An Medical Center, said: The unit has directed medical staff to continue monitoring the situation and deploying treatment and medical care plans for patients in accordance with the actual situation. At the same time, effectively maintaining the mobile emergency point , ready to receive and provide initial emergency care for people in communes affected by floods and landslides.
