Promoting the nation's tradition of solidarity, "mutual love and support", "helping each other", on the afternoon of October 2, at the National Assembly House, the National Assembly Standing Committee held a fundraising ceremony to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and floods.

At the fundraising ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and delegates donated at least one day's salary each to join hands with the whole country to support people in provinces heavily affected by storms and floods to quickly overcome damage and stabilize their lives.

Also on the afternoon of October 2, in Hanoi, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a ceremony to launch support for people affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi).

Here , Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien read the "Appeal of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on mobilizing support for people to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 10".

"The Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front earnestly calls on compatriots and soldiers nationwide, our compatriots abroad, agencies, organizations, businesses, philanthropists at home and abroad, foreigners living and working in Vietnam... to express good feelings, share, help spiritually and materially, and contribute together with the Party and State to support people in overcoming the damage caused by storm No. 10, quickly restore production and stabilize people's lives."

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front suggested that, in the spirit of "sharing food and clothes", those who have money should contribute money, those who have contributed should contribute, those who have little should contribute little, those who have much should contribute much (the general level of effort is: cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, people receiving salaries from the state budget, each person should contribute at least one day's salary or more; workers should contribute one day's income; union members, youth, households with average or higher living standards should save on spending and contribute 50,000 VND or more).

At the launching ceremony, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front received more than 673 billion VND from agencies, units, organizations and individuals who donated and registered to support people affected by storm No. 10.

At the launching ceremony, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee announced the list of 17 provinces and cities receiving the first phase of support from the Central relief fund to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 with a total amount of 265 billion VND.

Of which, 30 billion VND will be allocated to the three provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Tri each; 20 billion VND will be allocated to the two provinces of Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa each; 15 billion VND will be allocated to the three provinces of Lao Cai, Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang each; 10 billion VND will be allocated to the six provinces of Lang Son, Cao Bang, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh and Hung Yen each and the three cities of Hai Phong, Hue and Da Nang each.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will receive support for people affected by storm No. 10 at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, No. 46, Trang Thi Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi City.
