This morning (August 26), Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City issued a notice to resolve the issue of candidates who scored higher than the standard score but have not yet received admission notice.

This announcement stated that recently, after announcing the benchmark scores on August 22, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University received a number of complaints from candidates through media channels about their results being higher than the benchmark scores but they had not yet received admission notice from the school.

Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City believes that the school's admission principles have been announced through the admission plan (No. 1920/QD/DHNH dated June 11, 2025 of the President of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City) and the admission principles in the announcement of the threshold score to ensure input quality (No. 1122/TB-DHNH-HDTS dated July 23, 2025).

For the majors of law, economic law, economic law (partial English), the minimum total admission score is 18 points (province on a 30-point scale). Subject combinations including math and literature, or math or literature must achieve a minimum of 6 points or more on a 10-point scale. For other methods, math and literature scores are converted to the corresponding 10-point scale.

To ensure the Ministry of Education and Training confirms admission before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, candidates with questions about admission results are requested to send information to the admissions department of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City.

Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City commits to ensure that qualified candidates for admission to the majors of law, economic law, and economic law (partial English) will be considered for admission and enrolled at the school in accordance with current legal regulations.

As Thanh Nien reported yesterday (August 25), many candidates were upset that the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City had higher exam scores than the school's announced benchmark but were still not admitted to the law and economic law majors because the school had changed the admission requirements. These candidates applied for the law and economic law majors at Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City but did not receive admission notices even though their admission scores were higher than the benchmark announced by the school on August 22.

According to the feedback, the school has adjusted the admission requirements for the law and economic law majors regarding the minimum scores required for literature and math. This means that candidates applying for a combination of only literature and no math still need to score 6 points or higher in math to be eligible for admission. Candidates applying for combinations without math but not scoring 6 points or higher in this subject, even though their scores in 3 subjects are higher than the school's announced standard score, still fail to be admitted.
