Van Lang University begins accepting applications for the first round from January.

Dr. Vo Van Tuan, Vice Principal of Van Lang University, said that in 2024, the school will enroll 61 regular university training majors in standard programs and 14 special training programs.

The school started accepting applications based on high school transcripts from January 15 with two options: considering the average score of grade 12, or considering the average score of grade 11 and semester 1 of grade 12.

"For candidates applying for admission to gifted majors (drawing, music , theater and cinema), in addition to high school transcripts, candidates need to supplement their aptitude test results at Van Lang University or at universities where Van Lang University accepts aptitude test results," Dr. Tuan informed.

Specifically, in music aptitude subjects, candidates can use the 2024 exam results at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, Hanoi Conservatory of Music, and Hue Academy of Music.

For stage and cinema aptitude subjects, candidates can use the 2024 exam results at Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema and Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema.

For drawing aptitude subjects, candidates can use exam results from Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts, Ton Duc Thang University, Hanoi University of Architecture, Industrial Fine Arts and University of Arts ( Hue University).

Along with the general conditions for admission by means of academic records, candidates applying for health majors must meet the threshold to ensure input quality according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Specifically, the pharmaceutical, medical and dental majors require the total score of the admission subject group to be 24 or higher, and at the same time, the 12th grade academic performance must be classified as excellent.

For nursing and medical laboratory technology, the total score of the admission subject group must be 19.5 points or higher, and the 12th grade academic performance must be good or higher.

In addition to the admission method based on high school academic results, Van Lang University also uses methods of considering the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam, considering the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam and direct admission for candidates who meet the school's criteria.
